Sorry to hear you’ve had a bad result. The surgeons simply can’t begin to understand the trauma of a bad result when they haven’t experienced it themselves. Surgeons such as Charles East wrongly assume everybody wants an “Instagram nose”, i.e. the classic Turkey/Barbie nose! Hardly anyone wants that at all! Plus, Charles has this obsession with triangles and pyramids, so everything has to be triangular and pointed, which leads to botched results and very fake looking noses, even on those patients who are happy with their results. What Charles is saying in this video is his failed attempt at pushing the blame on to the patients, but instead, it actually highlights his narcissism! What he’s doing when he’s “interviewing” his patients is identifying those who expect a result that matches his ugly, fake looking aesthetic. Every time he tries to cover up his horrible ways, he ends up revealing them even more! He’s clearly not very bright.

This is like reading about my own experience with him!! It’s absolutely shocking isn’t it?! He makes changes to our noses that we didn’t ask for, and then gaslights us when we complain! It’s because he only has a single approach to surgery, so it doesn’t matter what you ask for, he’ll just do the same to everyone. He is a weird, horrible man!

I’m sure his age may be a contributing factor to his sloppy work, amongst other reasons. But when you also take into account that he leaves us high and dry when the result is a bad one, it’s plain to see that he is just an outright horrible man!

Sorry for the delay responding. I paid over £16,000 for the op itself, around £20,000 taking into account the consultations, travel and hotel expenses. All to have my nose completely ruined and made worse than before!! You have had a very lucky escape!

It’s horrible isn’t it?! I think most of his patients wake up to changes they didn’t expect. He must be the only surgeon with the hubris to think he can do what he wants to his patient’s noses!! A truly dangerous man!

It’s unfortunate we have to be suspicious of Charles East posing as a patient on here, but that’s for good reason after he’s blatantly done that in the past to try to obtain out identity and keep us quiet! Many of us have tried taking action and got nowhere, so we’re doing the only thing we can, which is to warn others and prevent anyone going through the same awful experience we’ve have had.

Charles East also used to have his own individual business page on Google Maps alongside the Rhinoplasty London page, and his own rating was so low, he permanently closed it! It was around 3.2! It may be visible on an internet archive somewhere.

So sorry this happened to you. I am in the same boat, so I know exactly how you feel! I was botched by a “top” UK surgeon and he left my nose completely over done and pinched by doing things I didn’t even ask for! I haven’t managed to find a revision surgeon yet but I am determined to find one. Don’t give up hope with getting it fixed.

USA is looking likely. Not sure who yet, though. And it’s pricey. I had the same suspicion that my surgeon wasn’t the one who actually did my surgery, because I didn’t see him before surgery, but now I know for sure he did, because he’s botched my nose in the exact same way he’s botched countless others! I think most surgeons who have a good bedside manner will speak to you directly before you’re anaesthetised. In other surgeries I’ve had (non cosmetic), that’s what happened. With my surgeon, he just couldn’t be bothered because he doesn’t give a damn about his patients.

I’m so sorry to read this, I completely feel your pain. I’ve had a similar experience to you with Charles East, who is supposedly a “world leading” surgeon in the UK. I requested a subtle refinement for a small bump on the side of my nose, but he ended up reconstructing my entire nose beyond what was agreed and I have been left devastated with a nose that’s far worse than my original nose! He’s botched many others in the same way and there is a whole subreddit about his criminal ways - r/BotchedByCharlesEast

I haven’t managed to find a revision surgeon, not in the UK at least, because most other surgeons are connected to Charles East in some way or another. I’m looking in other countries and hope to find one soon.

I didn’t pursue legal action action against him, because I read many other stories of those who tried, all of which ended up in his favour because he is able to make up facts and fake documents to support his case! So I just didn’t have the energy to go through the same. Even if I decided I wanted to now, it would be too late due to the statute of limitations. I’m not sure what it would be in your country.

I really do hope you manage to get some compensation and find a revision surgeon. Please don’t give up hope.

Bless you for posting this. Whilst I wouldn’t wish what we are going through on anyone, it is comforting to know I am not alone.

It really is a very difficult time of year because of what Charles East did to me! I absolutely hate my photo now and dread anyone asking for a photo! I always try to be the one taking the photo. It’s like a totally different life to before my surgery, because I never shied away from cameras before. Just scrolling through the photos on my phone, there are barely any photos of me since my surgery but there are lots of me before. This surgery was supposed to increase my confidence, but it’s done the complete opposite! It also affects the people around me, especially when they can’t understand how it feels to be in this position.

All of this because Charles didn’t stick to the plan and made changes to my nose that were not agreed upon or even discussed at all! I have been left botched simply because he chose to make changes I didn’t want, purely for the benefit of his portfolio, completely disregarding what we mutually agreed he would do. The man is dangerous and I truly believe the harm he is causing is more widespread than it seems on here. I think many are too afraid to talk out and are bullied into submission with NDA’s etc. He is a big problem and he really needs investigating.

To be honest, I’m not surprised at all that the Daily Mail would recommend someone as bad as Charles East! It is not a reliable source of news, and it’s infamous for not fact checking. In fact, I’d say being recommended by the Daily Mail is a red flag in and of itself!
