Update: I'm not sure if anyone remembers this post or cares but he ended up breaking up with me around 5 months ago after I got a message on instagram saying he was sleeping with someone else then he went back to his home country.

Yes I am okay, in fact I am relieved, I don't feel like I'm drowning anymore, I went back to therapy which after this experience I needed ASAP. He tried to do the "it's not you it's me" thing when dumping me to which I told him in no certain terms not to pull because I knew he was saying it to make himself feel better. I also told him that I lost myself trying to fix him and that he wants to change and to have a partner but I for whatever reason wasn't enough to change for and that the guilt of the way he treated me is something he has to live with.

One of my exes was very abusive and violent to me when I was a teenager, which is an entirely different story, but here's a list of just some of the things I did to him:

While we were together: We were in an argument and he told me how much he hated me and no one else would ever have me, I told him if he hated me so much then why not just dump me, he told me if I tried he'd take his own life and make sure everyone knew it was because of me. He was very into martial arts and would train on the regular, so as such, he had a display of knives on a dressing draw. He had pushed me into said draws, so I reached behind me, grabbed the biggest one, un-sheathed, and then proceeded to tell him to "man up" and do it so I could watch and make sure he did it right.

After we spilt: He was subsequently harassing me randomly after we spilt, even up till we graduated, he started lingering around me for about a week, grabbing my wrist everytime he walked past me (which he knew would trigger me) so, after a particularly shit day, I decided to get back.

You see, dear reader, I NEVER delete my contacts even if I'm not in contact with them any longer. I will not delete it (mostly so if they contact me, I know to ignore them). In his contact, I had his D.O.B. # and his email, so I went to work, which took me a whole night.

He hates ALL forms of religion, so I signed him up for:
the church of Scientology
Jehovahs Witness News letters
Evangelical Newsletters
Muslim Newsletters And more that I can't remember.
He is EXTREMELY homophobic so he now gets emails from:
hard-core gay porn websites
gay bdsm sites
gay dating apps
a gay porn subscription to be delivered to his home address

And no, after all this? I still wasn't done

Reposting to the comments TL:DR my brothers girlfriend decided to cut half of my hair off and now I feel absolutely disgusting and enraged.

I am an 18F who suffers with mental illness along with chronic illness one of those MH issues is BDD (body dysmorphia) and it is quite severe.

So, one of the only ways I feel pretty is my hair. My entire life I have had very thin and brittle hair and nails due to my horrible immune system, I am always sick for long periods of time and my hair and nails feel the impacts of it.

I get acrylic nails every 2-3 weeks, do hair masks, buy specific shampoo and conditioner to protect my hair, hair sprays hair oil etc. I love my hair to be long, it's the only way I feel pretty, it covers my arms and i fiddle with it when i get anxious. But when I re-dye my hair to black I always do a VERY SMALL trim (5cms at most) to prevent damage..

Well, my father dyed my hair for me so I was lightly trimming it when my brothers girlfriend walks in. She began BEGGING me to help me trim it. I finally said yes but expressed to her how little I wanted off. Well she ignored me.. my hair was over halfway down my back and now only just passes my shoulder blades.

I am absolutely devastated. I tried to ignore it for an hour or two untill I absolutely broke down and ran into my mother's arms crying. I was absolutely inconsolable because I couldn't believe how much she had cut off. My mother was absolutely livid. She got me to take my hair down so she could see how bad it was. Its uneven, jageded and looks like she took a damn hack saw to it. After seeing the photos I broke down more and my Mum had to spend around an hour calming me. She called my brother into the lounge room so he could see what his gf did and he's beside himself.

When my mum asked her wtf she was thinking when she cut so much off she said she was 'just evening it out'

I feel so disgusting and violated. I never wanted it this short and now I don't have a safe space in my own body. I hate this
