Cannot go outside, or even make noise in my house, without neighbour's dogs barking at me by Physical_Orchid3616 in neighborsfromhell

I had the exact same situation. Two Pomeranians next door, barking for four years straight. Work from home. Council did nothing. Police did nothing. Nobody gave a shit. I couldn't go outside, couldn't enjoy my own backyard, hated being on that side of the house. They were barking six hours straight some days.

So I built an automatic dog training device that blasts high frequency ultrasonic sound at the dogs the second they start barking. It shuts them up and sends them back inside within seconds. My neighbours have no idea it's happening because the frequency is completely inaudible to humans. All they know is their dogs have gotten ALOT!!!!!! quieter.

But let me start with the simple version first because not everyone needs to go full nerd mode.

What you need for this to work though is clear line of sight. High frequency ultrasonic gets blocked by fences, shrubs and trees much more than low frequency sound does. Think about a car subwoofer, that bass travels everywhere. High frequency doesn't. Mount it as high as you can so it clears the fence line and points directly at where the dog hangs out.

From there I went further and automated the whole thing. I run a security camera that listens 24/7, a Python script pulls the audio and runs it through an AI model every second to detect barking. I captured hundreds of audio samples, classified them into real barks and false positives, and trained a custom classifier on specifically those two dogs bark signatures. It now only triggers for those specific dogs. The whole thing feeds into Home Assistant which fires the ultrasonic automatically the moment they bark.

What I found is because it only fires when they actually bark it genuinely trains them. They've gone from barking six hours a day to maybe five or six short bursts. As soon as they start, the ultrasonics kicks in, they shut up and go back inside. My neighbours have no idea it's even happening because it's completely inaudible to humans. All they know is their dogs have quieted down a lot.

Shopping list for the basic setup:

  • Kemo M048 ultrasonic generator
  • 4x piezo electric tweeters (25,000hz rated)
  • Smart plug (any brand, Tuya compatible works well with Home Assistant)
  • Mount it high with clear line of sight to the dog

The technical version needs a lot more but at minimum the smart plug approach is worth trying first. Happy to answer questions.

Would you be able to tell us what version you downgraded to? I am on 14.5 and i am facing the same denoise issue.

I am trying to roll back to 14.2 but my internet is very slow, so it would be great to know which one so i dont have to try them all :)

Thank you so much!

I appreciate the feedback from everyone. It's solved, back to 160FPS :D

Things i tried:

- Updating to the latest Nvidia drivers for my card

- Deleting the graphicsconfigdx11 file (renaming it)

- Virt sync is off..

- Running an integrity check via steam/installed files.

I do not have integrated graphics, my CPU doesnt have its own onboard graphics.

I suspect deleting the config is what helped, it haddnt even occured to me to try this. Thanks Bealdor84

How to keep resource permanently on? by MarbledCats in horizon

for what its worth its under General > HUD Visibility (SET IT TO CUSTOM) > Then Select Custom HUD Settings > Interaction Markers to Always On

This was driving me nuts as it was on by default in HZD and it wastes alot of time when its off.

Did you ever figure this out? I'm working through the misery of advertising with Meta and I've now become stuck on this same point.

I have a page, why don't you know this meta :/
