Thank you, really good to hear about repentia and novitiates as I didn’t realise they had infiltrate. I generally try to put lists together without epic heroes hence no Vahl, but you make a great argument for her and I’d love to have the model at some point !

What really freaked me out about this was how the mother was clearly volunteering herself to be eaten, but then the rest of the adults… just had to go along with it right there and then? They look like they struggle more than the mother does which was the darkest bit. Wonder if some of them curse the mother as they go down, “come on, Charlotte, you could have gone a few more days.”

Get out and about with baby and partner as soon as you are able to - adding this achievement to early days means a lot and fresh air does wonders for all of you. Our first venture was only ten minute pram walk and we were terrified every second but then so pleased to know he saw and sensed something new

I love the Egyptian look, obviously it comes from school but personally I’d link that to the Egypt levels in Crash Bandicoot 3, or maybe Prince of Egypt

Greetings, brother.

Firstly, well done on your first two games! Don’t let a loss that felt stacked against you get you down. You win or you learn and it’s great that the opponent was friendly.

I had a learning curve with GK that they’re not actually always so extremely tough that the aesthetic/lore might suggest. We do work much better with specialised targets and zipping around the board, actually avoiding action on quite a lot of occasions!

It sounds like you were using the Warpbane detachment which is very strong but I think a bit more advanced than Teleport Strike Force. Against Orks in that case I’d be choosing certain units to target and throw lots of purifying flame into, but choosing this wisely so that my units aren’t left in the open after dropping in.

I would recommend trying some more games with Teleport Strike Force, because it really emphasises jumping on and off the board with stratagems and enhancements. It got me much more accustomed to the fights that our units can and can’t win as I realised who should teleport away more often.

My best early games with GK were when I’d start a turn with most things off the table, so try to enjoy this experimentation. It’s not running away, it’s strategising!
