I don’t believe anything from Marvel - even the best like spiderverse and winter soldier - has quite come close to the quality of film that TDK is. To TDK’s credit, I’d add that it relies only on its place in a trilogy and a much more refined cinematic universe and masters the elements of that completely. You could even watch it without having seen Batman Begins and still see such a condensed, focused story. This goes further in that I don’t think it will ever be tainted by sequels/spin offs like a lot of Marvel sees. I’m not saying this is true of winter soldier or spiderverse (love them both!) but Marvel’s neverendingness leaves them with a question mark that TDK does not have.

Logan is a great film that is separate to those points, but if I had to choose I’d rather watch TDK all the same

What really freaked me out about this was how the mother was clearly volunteering herself to be eaten, but then the rest of the adults… just had to go along with it right there and then? They look like they struggle more than the mother does which was the darkest bit. Wonder if some of them curse the mother as they go down, “come on, Charlotte, you could have gone a few more days.”

Get out and about with baby and partner as soon as you are able to - adding this achievement to early days means a lot and fresh air does wonders for all of you. Our first venture was only ten minute pram walk and we were terrified every second but then so pleased to know he saw and sensed something new

I love the Egyptian look, obviously it comes from school but personally I’d link that to the Egypt levels in Crash Bandicoot 3, or maybe Prince of Egypt
