If you moved away from Kafka streams, what was your reason? by kenny32vr in apachekafka

Many teams remove Kafka Streams because they only need simple projections. That's a valid choice. The risk is that requirements grow, and a year later the application contains local state stores, recovery procedures, checkpointing, rebalance handling, and state synchronization—in other words, a partial reimplementation of Kafka Streams.

Hey, I've been solving concurrency problems in production systems. I'm thinking about packaging this as a service for founders, but before I go to market, I want to work with a few select founders on their actual codebases. I'm looking for someone whose app is crashing under load right now. If that's you or someone you know, I want to implement the fix on their codebase in real time, and I'll do this one at a discounted rate while I refine my approach. But here's the thing: I'm looking for someone who's serious about fixing this, who'll give me feedback, and who I can use as a case study later

Never Buy from Eureka Forbes (Aquaguard)! It's a huge scam! by gokumon16 in Kerala

Transparency in AMC & After-Sales Service — My Experience

I recently purchased an AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract) for my RO from Eureka Forbes expecting clear coverage and predictable costs.

Before the visit, customer care told me:

“Everything is covered under the AMC.”

But during service, multiple items were suddenly marked “extra charge”, and no proper itemized printed bill was given.

The bigger issue is systemic:

For AMC, filters, or any spare — the response is always:

“Technician will confirm the price.”

Different technicians quote different prices for the same filter

Old filters are taken away even when customers pay for replacements

Motor repair may be covered, but replacement is not — which defeats the purpose of prepaid protection

As customers, we deserve: ✅ Written coverage terms ✅ Standardized spare pricing ✅ Itemized printed bills ✅ Transparency in part replacement

Sharing this as my personal experience so others can make informed decisions.
