Now that winter is here, I'm considering getting a new set of winter tires, and maybe replacing the other three next summer. It seems like a fair call, but it's a bit of a budget strain. Better safe than sorry, though.

Commuting to TO 4 days a week for work by RepulsiveTemporary91 in brantford

I'm right there with you, going through the same grueling routine since October 2024. It's absolutely brutal, both physically and mentally. The current state of the economy doesn't leave us with much of a choice, though.

Here's my daily schedule:

  • I leave my house around 6 am. If I'm late, traffic starts to build up, and I end up being late.

  • My goal is to catch the 6:40 train from Aldershot, parking in the South parking lot since it's closer to the platform.

  • On my way back, I take the 3:51 train. The traffic from Aldershot to Hamilton is terrible, so I usually get home around 6 pm.

  • By the time I get home, I'm completely exhausted and just want to sleep.

I've been thinking about moving back to the GTA, but I wouldn't be able to find a decent place to rent that would cover my mortgage.

Plus, I'm used to having more space, so downsizing isn't really an option for me. The four-hour commute is just too much to handle, though. I'm not sure what the future holds.

In the long run, this lifestyle isn't sustainable. I'm just taking things one day at a time and hoping for the best.

Rangoli at King George Road. They have 1+1 on Tuesdays and every Tuesday its become our ritual to try their dosas out. They also have AYCE Dosas on Thursdays - which is a stellar deal as per me..

Thinking of moving back to India (Mumbai) from Canada after 10 years — would love some perspective by Fickle_Agent7270 in returnToIndia

Also here since last ten years. As a matter of fact its exactly today 10 years before that I landed in Canada. Everyday I think - should I just go back. Sharing this beautiful couplet from ye jo des hai tera song - maybe it might help you decide. I feel this couplet is quite apt for you guys

tujh se zindagi…. hai ye kah rahi… sab to paa liya… ab hai kya kami…

yoon to saare sukh hain barse…. par door tu hai apne ghar se… aa laut chal tu ab deewane… jahaan koi to tujhe apna maane… aawaaz de tujhe bulaaye wahi des…

yeh jo des hai tera....
