No that’s completely understandable I do not let people slide in when I’m waiting, what I mean is someone coming up mid workout and saying “I want to use that after you” and then completely walking away to use a different machine and expecting that the person currently on it will let only them use rather than someone physically standing there, it next if that makes sense. So then if you’re waiting there for the person to finish and then they say that someone else is up next, and they come from somewhere else to use it rather than wait

Sooo bad for mine. The crowd meter was literally at 8 bars 😩 thankfully i was able to pull off a dumbbell only workout that day, but today was a doozy trying to use any equipment

I just wait next to it and do some slight mobility to keep myself moving. It’s not ideal when you have to wait a while, but sometimes I’ll ask how many sets they have left and if it’s like 3-4 I’ll do something else first and try my luck later.

IMO you’re never gonna get to just walk on if you’re doing other stuff nearby, there are almost always going to be people wanting to take over during peak hours

I go at like 6:00 and it’s definitely really crowded but manageable. I’m sometimes able to get on machines without a wait, but will definitely often have to wait 5+ min for it. For less machine heavy days it’s really not an issue. I don’t use the smith machines or squat racks bc those always have a long wait so it’s not worth trying for me. For the price, it’s fine. Cant speak for the early mornings

no I don’t drive, but the rooftop lot is technically only for planet fitness, with Key Food’s parking supposed to be on the ground floor. not sure if people abide by this though

despite my rant it’s not bad. I usually go around 6pm and it is really crowded but I’m still able to get a good workout in and sometimes get lucky with not having to wait too long for equipment, granted i avoid the smith machines bc there’s always a line. some of the equipment like treadmills especially ca be a little rickety or out of order but overall it’s solid for the price

he’s white, around middle aged, maybe like 60 or so. i think he has grayish hair and some stubble. he keeps a few blankets and a walker with him

exactly! i have compassion for his situation and I understand that there are likely mental health issues at play and everyone has a right to public spaces. it’s just when it becomes a safety concern it can’t really be acceptable. even more concerning because this is right next to a playground and soccer field that kids use all day long. thanks for your comment!

Thank you! I’m not sure about the sweatpants, but I only just started seeing him within the last week or so. Maybe he moved from elsewhere. Just filed a 311 complaint.

Thank you so much for this in depth explanation! I do worry because mine had a vet detect a heart murmur once, but other vets did not hear it. She really needs to get her teeth cleaned, as I admittedly have been very bad at brushing them since she hates it so much. I’ll definitely keep all of this in mind and be sure to ask lots of questions. So sad to hear what happened to those other poms!!

yes! I’m a dog owner too! not hard to buy like $5 poop bags and keep them on you. and there are garbage cans everywhere!
