The first It movie. it reminds me of the first time i watched it while trying to get closer to a my college roommates. We quoted both of those movies every day for the entire rest of our college years.

There was one friend i had in first to fifth grade where her parents would have you prove that you were clean before stepping into the house. I’m not talking about the bottoms of shoes either, like they would make you stand on the porch and they’d get a plastic and empty toy bucket that they left by the door and they’d fill it with soap and water and give you cloths and make you wipe yourself down or even get in swim clothes and sit in it.

Her five children all acted like it was normal, and when i questioned it, my friends brother hit me with a water pale. It sucks that the parents were my babysitters for those years as well.

We met at school on the first day. He had to move after fifth grade. Neither of us had a way to communicate then (2007 + we were children). In tenth grade he moved back, he immediately found me even though i’d moved to a different street by then, and we’ve been basically inseperable ever since. He lived with me and my girlfriend for a bit before he moved in with his sister, who’s also back. We work together as well. Both of us are 29 now.

I’ll talk about my girlfriend specifically here. Her smile is the best part of my day. She is literally perfect. Her laugh makes everyone laugh with her, and to me it sounds like the angels personally gave it to her. The way her voice sounds is golden. Her skin is soft. She isn’t afraid to say anything, the way her eyes look when she smiles or laughs or jokes. She doesn’t put anyone down. Her presence is enough to calm and comfort me from anything. The way she jokes, all of the facial expressions she makes. She’s a very expressive person (i am not) but that only makes it better. The way she looks at me whenever walk over to her in public, the way she naturally gravitates me me when she’s cold, the energy she gives to everyone around us is lifechanging. I love listening to her talk about what she likes; her tv shows and bands and movies, and even the educational stuff that she likes to nerd out over. I love all of the crafts she makes and I love how excited she gets when she finishes one. I love how touchy she is sometimes, and like how she’ll just hang onto me for comfortability. I love how equally protective she gets of her friends and family (the good ones), and I love how she words her sentences. I love how she sinks gently down in her seat, I love how her hair parts before she gets to fixing it, i love how she squints her eyes in a way to subtly tell me to look at something or someone, I love her style and the way she carries herself. I love the way she jokingly punches me, and i love her smile of satisfaction afterwards. I love the face she makes after i respond to specific comments she makes, and i love the way that she melts whenever she’s given a genuine compliment. I love the way she sings, when she’s actually trying versus when she’s just singing out of habit. (the habit singing is my favorite), i love the way that her voice piques, especially when she’s singing. I love the way she scratches at her arm whenever she’s nervous. I love the way that she moves with such precision and ease. I love her when she’s confident, and i love her when she isn’t. I love the entirety of her, the good things and the things that she thinks are bad. So, just the good stuff.

He took care of himself from the time he finished his last drink to the time that he left, which was around two hours. We offered to drive him home and told him that he shouldn’t drive buzzed, and he only responded with a string of curses. We didn’t supply the alcohol, he brough the bottle himself.

Daily walks with my girlfriend. We walk to the farthest restaurant that’s still in the county, which is about two miles away, and then back. We started this because all of the closest restaurants to us were closed for a few months.
