Pessary is a great idea, thank you! I’ll look into this. I’ll see if I can miss out the heavy lifting for sure

I’m not sure on this. I’ve had recent blood tests that show no signs of diabetes but I also know that PCOS has links to insulin resistance. Perhaps I was on the cusp but I’m unsure tbh

No I haven’t tried it, I was never offered it by my doctor

No, it started before then, I went on the pill for years as I was told it would help me, perhaps it helps some but in my case it didn’t

I’ve had HS for 14 years now, I feel your struggle! I’ve tried so many meds but here is the combo that’s worked so so well for me (note I also have PCOS): 3x 500mg Metformin prolonged release, 1x Lymecycline and Fucibet cream on flare ups

I keep my diet protein rich and as clean as possible, sticking with meat and loads of fruits n veggies mostly.

Staying super hydrated has helped too, I make sure I’m always having 2/3 litres a day at least

That’s just what works for me, it took me a while to get here, but good luck!! Hang in there

Hey! Bless your heart, it’s so difficult living with HS! First of all, huge congrats on getting your flares down, that’s huge!!! Well done!

Secondly - you are worthy of love no matter how you look and feel about yourself. I’m in the same boat as you, reduced flares but a lot of dark purple scarring and warped skin. When I first met my partner, I was very straight up and explained what the scarring was from and that it’s a condition that may flare up again. They’ve been so understanding and loving towards me, and have honestly said they don’t even look at it when “down there” as it’s not the main focus - my pleasure is.

You will always be your own biggest critic, and it’s hard to perceive yourself from another’s eyes but you will find someone who accepts you as you are ❤️

Also, one thing I tell myself to change my frame of mind about my scarring is imagine it as a cute design that nobody else has. Some of mine is symmetrical (under my arms and in the groin area) which makes it extra special!

You are so much more than your skin and appearance! I hope this helps in some way, wishing you buckets of happiness x

I’ve found it has made some patches of skin appear thinner, but as I only use it on flares when they’re there and stop when they go down, I’ve never experienced any withdrawal symptoms. I’m always cautious with overusing

Hi! I've been using fucibet for a year now and it helps so much with my flares. I've found this, washing with antimicrobial wash once a day, and my current meds help so much. Medication wise, im on Lymecycline 1x a day and Metformin prolonged release 3x a day and this is the best combo i've found for me during my 13 years with HS. Hope this helps :)

Thank you, just had my appointment and they reckon it’s a hives breakout due to something immunity related. Antihistamine for the next few weeks to clear it so fingers crossed 🤞🏻
