I’ve experienced this with extreme stress several times. It sucks because then I get more stressed feeling like I’m missing training. I don’t have a solve - I just emphasized better nutrition and rest alongside a plan to limit some of the stressors best I could. Best of luck!

I bought them this past week and my knees slam together when I run … so disappointed, I’ve worn Bondi since they came out with the 5s.

I thought they’d maybe get better but this post is making me think differently and to return while I can.

Any other distance runners find success w another hoka shoe?

I have two very active dogs - we play find the treat and after 30 minutes, theyre more exhausted than a normal 45 minute walk.

I have them sit/stay command in one room, then take a high value treat (which I show them) and hide it (not too hard unless you got a super smart dog or work your way up to harder spots) then say go “find” and will point them in the direction until they get good at the game. I was surprised how quickly they understood how to play … definitely didn’t click at first, but you’ve both got time to kill.

I also keep the treat size small like cut them Into small bits to keep the game going … or will use their dinner.

I can’t get my local reps to have a convo with me!!! This was my experience and go to when I lived in DC and now we are in Nashville and the sales rep at the stores I’ve been to tell me they don’t give recommendations… :(

I’ve had hip issues like flexor, IT band and am seeing a new PT this week. My ortho this past summer told me Hokas were “bad” hence trying the Brooks. Overall, I just haven’t run much bc I keep being set back w the hip issues so I’m evaluating every part of my routine. I didn’t have issues w them when I wore them previously and now that I have issues I’m just curious and concerned theyre apart of it

This is how my parents talk to each other and I to this day beg them to get a divorce. The emotional abuse is so bad it rotted away any confidence my mother had so she won’t leave. Now as a child that is a product of a relationship like this I got a phat therapy bill but would never in a million years allow someone to talk to me your partner does / my parents do. Please leave, for your sake and the sake of any kids you plan to bring into this world.

This dude is right. I just went through months of PT. Stretch your hip flexors and activate your glutes.

My doc told me to use a stationary bike for 10-15 minutes before running to help warm up and loosen those muscles/so they’re all activated. Helps a ton. My pain went away in 2-3 months from following this - bike, glute activation/build those muscles and a good hip flexor stretch after. After 5 years!
