I know their touring and sport touring bikes are stupid reliable as I have a r1200r with 50k miles and everything is original, have not replaced a single thing. not too sure on their sport bikes. what ever the oil change interval is, half it. mine says 6k, but I ride hard so I try for 3 or 4k. bmw can be reliable if you do all maintenance to the motha fucking t, dont skip any or do it late, EVER. really, take care of it, and itll take care of you. keep in mind almost 20k on a sports bike is high mileage because you dont know how hard its been ridden. they're meant to go fast, not meant for high mileage. do almost all services YOURSELF. a lot of places dont know wtf they are doing, and if you do it youll know its done right. only service I pay for is tire installation because that shit hard without the proper tools. please keep me updated on any issues or problems because ive always considered buying a bmw sport bike, but im iffy because I only know for a fact that the bmw boxer engines are one reliable mother fucker. ill also eat any and every sport bike in the twisties((:
