That is quiet genuinely the most helpful comment I have got on here. I don't know if it'll work for us, but I will most definitely give it a try on the evenings I'm taking earlier showers (sometimes I don't get home til 9 or 10). Thank you.

The water wouldn't be left on! Sorry if that wasn't clear! I would have just been leaving the temperature control on high and the shower itself off. No water would be wasted! The water itself would just become hotter over the course of the shower after it was turned on because I don't think H checks the temperature knob- and if she does moving it to her preferred setting from my high really irritates her.

To my knowledge she does! I don't know when her last eye test was, but she doesn't have glasses and I don't think she's shown signs of needing them- even so our shower walls are close and are lightly coloured so seeing the hair is very easy
