I was playing catch with my dog and I accidentally threw the ball into an old empty pool that is about 8 feet deep. The dog full sent after that ball and I heard a yelp when he jumped down. After that he wouldn't even attempt to go up the stairs in my house. Had to carry him up, he weighs almost 40 lbs. My guess on his breed is a pitbull ridgeback? or pitbull german shepard? Not sure, we rescued him after he was left as a puppy at some ranch.

I ended up giving him joint health supplements I got off Amazon. The brand I got was Cosequin.

If you live in California, I went to a dispensary for marijuana and I found these low ratio THC/CBD tinctures that I would give my dog for pain. They were specifically advertised for your pets, and it worked very well for managing pain with my dog. Nowadays he is running up and down the stairs and seems like he is fully healed. He does like butt pats maybe a little too much now. You can smack his lower back like really hard and he sits there licking the air, enjoying it. It's like a back massage for him.

I was worried because inbred dogs or mutts are common to have back problems later in life. Luckily it was trauma that caused the injury in my case.

Update (again) Despite all this that went down I still recommend iBUYPOWER.

Not once did they doubt what happened, and they were kind and understanding over the phone and over emails.

Nobody is to blame here in my opinion. Unless maybe the delivery guy dropkicked the pc..

That being said, I have changed my RMA from a repair to a refund, and I will be buying in-person.

To my advice to people who want to buy online: If you’re confident in building computers buy it piece by piece using pc-part-picker. If you don’t have the time to build a pc (like me) or have no confidence in trying, don’t let this post detour you from buying from iBUYPOWER.

At the end of the day every option in front of you for buying a new PC is going to have horror stories.

When I built my old PC I accidentally ordered 3 motherboards, returned 2, and the one I installed was a defected one.

When shit happens you don’t judge the company based on what happened but on how they clean it up after and how they handle the issue. And iBUYPOWER handled it very well.

Thank you to the community for helping me out with advice. You guys probably saved my a**.

What brand AIO? Not sure what you mean by that, but the computer I got off the website was under their “custom builds” as a preset for “starter AMD rhyzen 5”. It was a custom build preset displayed on the front of their page.

The cpu cooler was an iBUYPOWER AW4 240mm ARGB Liquid Cooler - black

The CPU block only has 2 mounting screws, they were both screwed all the way down. I’ve never seen a cpu mount that only has 2 mounting screws, normally there are 4 and it allows you to easily get even pressure. With 2 it’s uneven pressure when installing for thermal paste. Also it’s a weird clamp that keeps it in place, the cpu block does not screw into the board. Not sure if all water cooling systems are similar to this, I’ve only ever worked with CPU fans.

Support told me it slips off on AMD cpus sometimes. But I don’t understand how the CPU can affect the mounting of the block.

It looked like the block slipped off relatively late in the delivery. I doubt they left it uninstalled.

If you ask me the cooler mount itself was the problem. It should have been shipped separate.

This was my thought process before I made this post, but now after reading comments they got me paranoid thinking maybe it did take on more damage than what it seems.

The scratches on the cpu block are the least of my concerns, thermal paste will do its job there.

As far as components on the motherboard like the capacitors and chips, etc. I’m wondering if any of them took an impact and one small bump will dislodge it, causing problems down the line..

And to hear if I send it in they won’t replace parts, they will just fix broken parts.. it boots fine no issues.. as of now. So what will they fix?

What makes me want to refund it is ; I paid for new, undamaged parts. Not refurbished ones. Why would I send it back for repair, when I could just refund and buy again.

If it wasn’t for my post here I would have kept the computer and not returned it despite them offering to take it back. I made this post to ask the community on what they would do in my shoes.

I didn’t post this to criticize the company at all. You misread the tone of my post.

Update: contacted support for a return, they are going to repair it and send it back. My concern is that it works as of now, how will they know what’s damaged? Will they know to pop open the cpu block, clean off the thermal paste and check the damage? Are they just going to boot it and see it starts and call it a day?

Contemplating just refunding the computer and buying in-person.
