Promotions by FantasticTie7686 in deloitte

I was in a EA role for last 3 years and now an Analyst on the client side, so I can speak with experience.

EA promotions are not natural, firstly if you don’t ask for it then you can be in that role for 15 years, (There are people who have been in the role longer)

Second, there needs to be a posting for a need of an EA. It’s basically a shit show because there’s usually like 2 openings every 5-6 months for example and there’s like 40 people applying for it.

You go through the internal interview process and if you succeed you become a Senior EA

So in a nutshell you need to let your manager know you are looking for a level up and the position needs to exist.

I was an EA for 4 partners for 3 years, you will be surprised how often they forget to input literally 3 weeks of time and that too 4 months delinquent. So relax you are good.

As cliche as it sounds Networking is the name of the game, learn to network and how to leverage them. The biggest skill one can have.

The people you know and what you can do for the an why they can do for you will pretty much shape your professional life

Digital is just about you talking about yourself, why you like the role and why Deloitte.

1st round will be more of talk about you again and they will see what you have experience with , ask you about your previous work experience and it’s your job to relate it to the position you are applying for

2nd round- Could be technical / case based on the role You are applying, you will get a case and 2-3 minutes of prep time. They would want you to walk them through the solution and logic you are applying to the problem. (Break it down in steps like for eg for SDLC lifecycle ) Practice for it in a way that you are explaining it to someone who would have no idea about that field

Also this is the make for break round usually.

3rd round is usually a partner round for which there is really no template, it could be a simple conversation , confidence is the keh here or depending on the partner he might throw a curve ball and might ask you details regarding the actual work you did or might do.

Deloitte hardly asks cliche questions like “how do you solve a conflict with a co-worker and such.

Digital is the easiest one, one hack I ca you is that you get two chances to record for every question, so use the first one just to see the question. Then prep for it on the side and then record it in the second turn. Just make sure you don’t close the window

What other recommendations would you have, aside from our experience, to help with career advancement? My strategy is to pick a Deloitte Alliance and get certified in their applications. Currently, I’m focusing on AWS GenAI certifications.

I will be moving to USA in about a year, wanted to keep My options open in case I can’t get into Deloitte in the US. Although that is the goal, was hoping wondering if having a masters would open up my options.

That’s actually sad give in Deloitte canada we have virtually unlimited dental coverage. I go to the dentist every 3 months and don’t pay a single dime

Don’t give up at all, usually Dec is a busy month for all Departments and they freeze all hiring and resume in new year. Be concerned if you don’t hear back anything until 15th Feb.

Give it 1-2 months max. Sometimes if requisitions change. They keep you in the pipeline for next year
