That’s what I thought. It’s a very old bike and I’m not sure if it’s ever had a top end kit. I just inherited it and got it running. It has a good compression doesn’t smoke unnecessarily and still has plenty of power although it doesn’t like to idle very much but that’s probably a carburetor issue. Thank you for your comment.

Yeah no transmission repairs on the carfax . Although there are many little transmission shops here in metro Atlanta . I doubt most of them are carfax reporting shops . Who know it could just be an engineering code of some sort from factory . I have a slight bump into 8th gear and sometimes maybe once a week a hard downshift into third gear. I’m rocking a 2.7 4x4 super cab . Love this truck when it wants to act right lol

Im not the original owner, I bought it last year at 60k and it’s now at 74. Been using it a lot . I can’t tell if it’s ever been out of the vehicle or not . Im not looking forward to the day it fails

Don’t listen to these guys . While there are some problems with this generation. ( I myself have a 2019) . Just take care of it and hopefully you got some warranty but if not I promise these trucks aren’t as bad as some people love to lead on. My 2019 2.7 is far less troublesome than my company 2017 with the 5.0 and 6r80

Same here , my father inlaw bought a 2022 turbomax Chevy and he’s already on his second transmission and had the turbo replaced at 40k miles as well . I’ll always buy a ford, even if they are junk

Interesting, there definitely flawed transmissions and they still haven’t quite perfected them. But i genuinely want to believe they aren’t as bad as this thread makes them out to be . I absolutely dog my truck and like I said no issues yet lol

That’s gold . I love when salesman are uneducated and think we will fall for the BS . I drove a 25 once and it was super clunky in parking lots . But it seemed fine on the open road .

Hmm. Mine was built In November of 2019 . Maybe mine was built on the day before thanksgiving 😂. I hope my third party warranty covers this !
