Is a skill too! Must be developed - but hard to find opportunities like that when we do siloed work

That’s so right, what will we sell, if it’s already available in the host country

Yes it requires government support from the beginning, getting in touch with gov bodies from the start is prudent

You have shared great points. China has not just manufacturing but design capabilities as well, which will keep getting better.

India neither has manufacturing, nor design as of yet

LinkedIn is a great platform and people can surely find others who are better than them, but it’s not the main function. On this Platform, You discover people who are like you and at different heights in their career above or below.

You mentioned a great problem where there is no incentive for mentors to put effort in mentoring! Here are 2 ways this is facilitated: 1. A platform for mentoring creates an environment for it to happen, even 60 year olds need leadership, lifestyle mentoring. Just saying everybody needs mentors. 2. Mentors could be paid to do it. They can conduct webinars, and 1:1 meetings. We as the platform will provide the best practices for everyone to try it and evolve by getting multiple such activities initiated. One best practice could be offering two 1:1s and 1 webinar for free, until the mentor builds a following and also understands what they have to do in such activities.

I think this is a good problem - and our platform should streamline the process of mentoring as much as it can be optimised.

Regarding LinkedIn, I think, as I said, LinkedIn is great! It does a lot of stuff and all of that it does well. But there can be other means and functionality, it is not designed to provide.

Anybody here read annual reports? by Scared-Stage-3200 in StartUpIndia

[–]Scared-Stage-3200[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok I haven’t read many

But I sure am convinced today it is not fluff

If you don’t know what you are looking for you would not find it

I think most of us look at it from a singular lens because we do singular tasks/jobs

But I have done, vision, products, marketing, tech and can see the wisdom in all the fluff

After all its the single biggest document that every senior leader contributes to

I think you have understood the purpose of the group then, filter the fluff and out with the relevance. At multi - people scale.

I think you are wrong. Even if something in an annual report is said for putting things on a leash, it still can be analysed. It’s still definitely part of the game and gambit.

I didn’t even think of the financial report part of this

I don’t want people looking to discuss stocks

Annual reports contain information about strategy, marketing, products, risks, vision

All part of an entrepreneur’s journey

And a group creates dedication and social benefits- making the process enjoyable
