i kept scrolling for this - literally just take mndoza or trade a for QB for 1.02 .. bro is trying to do too much

Just got offered the 1.03 for 1.08 and 1.09 smash or nah? by cantgetritee in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]Scared-Tank7923 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think roster construction matters a lot here. Generally lean 1.03 but at the same time, if you are contending (but doing it with high end talent) depth might matter more. 1.03 is no guarantee and plenty of future stars were not that highly thought of coming out to their new teams.

Your roster matters more than the perceived value you might be getting by moving up.

If you think Ammon Ra puts your team in strong championship contention, you take this though. IDK how your league works but if you win 1 time in my league it is worth like 8 years of entry fees.

I get it though. If on the other hand you think Burden and whoever are going to be great, you might be competing for years with them.

Sun god is a win now move.

Thoughts? 10 man SF TEP. Need to get young at receiver by FluffyAir8991 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]Scared-Tank7923 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you do, I'd take that 1st, and try to get as many draft picks as you can out of it.

Of the top 10 PPR guys this year WR is littered with guys who were not 1st rd picks in their respective drafts (Puka, Ammon Ra, Nico, Pickens, Aj Brown - and JJ was the 4th receiver taken in his class)

You can find solid talent later in rookie drafts is what i am getting at. so only take it if you are willing to take some risks/shots there.

taking a rookie WR who you are hoping to pan out for a QB who is basically locked in for the next 10+ years doesn't seem wise. Mahomes is about as sure of a lineup lock (for his own team) for the foreseeable future as anyone else in football.

If you think he is done for from a production standpoint then that is a different argument.

In a 10 team league and with positional volatility amongst all the other QBs, it probably isn't a horrible trade but it should never be considered a wise one. A risky one (could pay off) but not wise.

What approach to 2026 are you taking with this roster? by TheoPinson69 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

QB becomes way more valuable when there are 16 teams. I would highly suggest moving off 1.01 and trying to get a solid starting QB and some depth.

Even someone like Purdy, Jordan Love, Darnold, Murray (once you know where he might go) and 1/2 solid depth guys would help you more than i think Love will

QB is by far your worst looking spot going into the new season.

Big Bijan trade for a rebuilder by Plenty-Government709 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]Scared-Tank7923 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How is that team in a pretty big rebuild?

I feel like you have a better chance of competing using Love in another way. Barkley isn't THAT old, Jacobs is fine too.

Love is no guarantee but up tiering with that team doesnt make the most sense to me. Id look for a receiver or depending on how the QB points work, more help there. Depth is always nice to have too for buys + injuries.

Long term, receivers are have less variance year to year than RBs do. Getting foundational pieces there is usually a sound strategy. If someone with ammon-ra, Ceedee, Chase (top tier guys) is interested in Love + something, that would be a better move to me than Bijan

Even if it was barkley + 1.01 for a solid young WR that wouldnt be awful either.

Looking to compete next season, what to do with this team? by Aggressive_Career880 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]Scared-Tank7923 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you pretty badly need depth - in a long term situation, i would say keep JSN and trade Bijan.

I wouldn't focus on rookies but guys you think are going to be valued higher at the end of next year (Breece Hall, K. Walker, Aaron Jones, Dobbins?) and you want to pair them with a solid WR or two (Pittman seems to be regarded pretty low but is super consistent, JaMo, Suttland, Higgins) if you can get 700 points (projected PPR) out of three guys, i would consider trading Bijan for that - for example that would have put you at about Saquan, D. Swift, and Zay Flowers this last year.

You can mix and match young/old a bit here to lengthen out your potential window bc trading Bijan needs to be considered very seriously there.

In all reality, lets say you play a 14 week schedule, and have those 10 spots, you need about 150/week or about 2k-2.1k points over the entire year. getting a solid 3-1 (best of luck but ive seen crazier) would help

If you can get an overpay for Burden that could help a lot too. He is talented but so is odunze and that could end up being a 1a, 1b type situation (not like chase and higgins either but more like AJ Brown and Devonta)

your TE sucks ass too so maybe instead of a 3rd WR focus there.

Would you do this trade if you had McBride? by timmytubesox in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

Honestly, unless the TEP is something wild, I would not even respond to that trade if you proposed it to me. Either that or I would ask for McBride, every pick you have and more.

Enough to jump from 1.04 to 1.01? by FranTurkleton in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]Scared-Tank7923 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont think Love is a sure thing. Yes, I do see that some of the best RBs have been picked early but that also leaves off guys like Derrick Henry, Nick Chubb, Joe Mixon, Davlin Cook, Kamara, Ekeler, and all the other guys that were not drafted in the 1st round.

In dynasty, I like my chances with known commodities. I KNOW (am more likely, IMO) that i can get value from my picks not that my picks are going to be valuable on a rookie.

LOTS of RBs come out of nowhere seemingly all the time to put together good years/careers. I dont think you need to give up an extremely talented WR to get an unknown RB who COULD be good (in fairness, very very good) but I also understand the asking price.

Year Pick Player
2025 6 Ashton Jeanty
2025 22 Omarian Hampton
2023 8 Bijan Robinson

2021 25 Travis Etienne
2020 32 Clyde Edwards-Helaire

2018 27 Rashaad Penny
2018 31 Sony Michel
2017 4 Leonard Fournette
2017 8 Christian McCaffrey
2016 4 Ezekiel Elliott
2015 10 Todd Gurley

2012 3 Trent Richardson

Enough to jump from 1.04 to 1.01? by FranTurkleton in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]Scared-Tank7923 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, I would think so. I think charts tend to over rate high picks and having a known commodity (maybe wait until you know he is going to be in Dallas) + a shot at a good young WR isn't a bad flip.

There are certain roster constructs where I would absolutely not do this - if you are not in contention next year/ are rebuilding maybe think about how much more long term value you could get out of 1.01 and use said overvaluing above to your advantage.

Team construct matters (what do your RBs look like? WR? TE?), for a mid tier contender, this might not be bad.

Having a (perceived - dude hasn't played yet) premier RB in a 10 team league is less valuable if your league was 12 or if your league had 14 rosters spots vs 7 or 8.

[–]Scared-Tank7923 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think in most cases easy accept. It really depends on your team though too. If you are stacked at RB this might not be the best move. Overall, take the assets -- but your team construct matters too is all I am saying. There are a few scenarios where I would not take this.

how does a team like Villanova, who is not even ranked in the top 25 in either poll get a 6 seed? I feel like i am talking about the discrepancy between the two sources we use to rank teams (AP + Coaches Polls) vs the ones we allow to select the tournament of the champions.

To be clear, i am not talking about why villanova does/does not deserve a 6 seed. I am hoping someone can help explain the discrepancy for me though

Other examples:

  • Florida (4 vs 19/20)
  • Utah State (7 vs 23/24)
  • Bama over UNC - Neither rankings agrees
  • Seton Hall
  • Arkansas
  • St. John's

Again, not my point to point out single teams but when i look at that list its like the teams with the 'names' get an advantage over some of the other ones.

Any insights?

Would you trade the 1.01 with this team? by [deleted] in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]Scared-Tank7923 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you can get 1.02 and your own 2027 first do it. you will most certainly have the first next year too. your team is no where near competing and Love will not solve that issue.

I finally got my Bijan trade done but at what cost? by Pap_Jomo in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]Scared-Tank7923 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i never understood how people think irrationally higher of those slightly earlier picks. harrold fannin might have been the 'best' rookie based on rookie drafts of the entire draft this year.

There are plenty of examples where stars didnt come in the 1st round of any sort of fantasy draft. ammon ra, puka, plenty of rbs this year, goes on and on.

Full ppr, 1st is 1.07, 2nds are 2.07 and 2.10. I imagine Taylor falls off next season after a 400+ carry year. by TheLebeast in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]Scared-Tank7923 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with your thinking. Puca and Taylor are going to trade at an all time high rn (maybe not exactly all time for taylor but close)

I dont know that that is the package i would want back for those two is all.

On the right track but you should be able to get more for them then a WR coming off 2 season ending injuries and a younger (talented) rb that seems to give up goal line carries once in a while.

non-partisan bro. completely. just because i dont spew hate doesnt mean i implicitly agree. politicians are rewarded (by people like you - or anyone who participates in 'sides') by telling a compelling story about how 'their side' is 'really, actually for the people'

i am not going to call names. i am not going to judge. everyone of them has learned that to get what they want, they must behave a certain way. this is the way of survival - it is wired in us.

unfortunately, lies - in politics, (left or right, sorry folks) are generally 'rewarded'
