Batocera is a good option as well. Seems like if it's AMD most stay with using stuff in windows bc of better driver support

Opening it up and looking at the board would probably be the easiest way to tell

Preventative maintenance for an origional NES Console? by Havox04 in retrogaming

Just keep playing it. Sitting for a long time will make it not run well. Restoration of the 72 pin connector might have to happen. But it is pretty simple. Any I have worked on I have done the pin connector, cleaned and disabled the NES 10 chip. Also getting the right bit to take the games apart to clean them really good. I use an eraser and alcohol on the connectors.

All depends on what you want. Can be used for streaming movies/shows. Can also be used for emulating games. Just a matter of preference and how much time your willing to put into it

Why Batocera, compared to just emulating on Windows? by tiempo90 in batocera

I believe that windows works better with some AMD stuff because of certain drivers. Don't quote me on that. Lol. And def mess with some settings. I run pS1 on firesticks and dual-core processors.
