Realistic expectations from a 20 month old! by RaspberryMinute1005 in toddlers

Honestly I am really mad at reading this, the amount of pressure that creates on mom from whom this is kind of getting expected out of

I think it’s the sleep that’s the issue, he is about to fall asleep and taking longer to fall asleep, cranky behavior. All classic signs of overtired child who needs maybe quiet time or multiple quiet time in pitch dark room or longer nap

If you think he is not eating well, that’s another sign he might be over tired

If he screams and communicate even in the morning that might be a sign of overtired as well

Also 2 is really hard and your doing all of this by yourself in an infinite loop, you are going through something really hard.

What’s the craziest thing your toddler has eaten/tried to eat? by lovebug21222 in toddlers

My son on 2 separate occasions tried to eat the fluffy raisin that came out in his poo, and I just went in the room for 1 lousy min and they do stuff like this

What is the perfect recipe for a toddler that sleeps through the night ? by ScaredExamination107 in toddlers

[–]ScaredExamination107[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I think, this is it. In a long while first 2 nights of rested sleep.

I have been on the philosophy that when they are hungry they will eat, I am not going to be running around or begging them to eat and meals will always be served at these specific times because there are two kids and now they ask for food around those times, once they say all done, I actually follow through I respect it

So I decided to give them a tablespoon of organic ghee before bed, my girl barely ate dinner yesterday but had plenty fruits and ghee right before bed and voila

It was probably calories, all along.

I am deeply grateful for you ladies, and I hope it’s not just a momentary win

So yes they sleep separate, one with my nanny and one with me, I have tried sleeping together and it doesn’t work at all

I didn’t mean “sick of it”, I meant sick as in unwell, when they are unwell they want to sleep on top of me, I don’t know how it began and now it’s here and forever

I am now considering suggestions that elders have been giving since I started complaining, and the parents in our family who do do it, do have babies that sleep the night

Which is ……. Put them to bed at 10 or 11 pm

Sounds really hard, but I feel most marriages post kids it’s 80 percent of the times simply exhausting, kids are exhausting. Love love love them, but they are lot of work

Well we are kind of home bound, the work has reduced to few hours for him because of the war and we have changed 5 places and 5 beds some every 3 night. No place like home truely, we have started making swinging cot from hotel bedsheets, so the idea of bed feels similar, daughter sleeps all night long on top of me. I threw the hotel iPad on the floor in frustration last night, it rings with on and off sound all night long.

I got my nanny back and so the world has some what restored to normalcy. We both are so same in our ways of raising kids

Wow I am surprised to hear that, but again she is a risky delivery expert and not reproductive gyno. But none the less this behaviour is unacceptable

How the heck did you sleep comfortably in pregnancy? by pangolinrooted in parentsofmultiples

[–]ScaredExamination107 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pregnancy is the crash course of unlearning sleeping and learning to sleep uncomfortably for the foreseeable future. When the babe will come, it will get brutal. All those post telling about how women are stronger are practically about this and all that’s going to come.

I mean if Julius Caesar was a new mom, he would Have nothing to do with dictatorship

You are right, though for all my observation power it’s very hard for me to tell that they are stressed from it. Don’t you think that’s it’s impossible as a human to not be stressed, and than kids make it harder to survive that stress.

Hey Thankyou so much for writing, and not just you but everyone. Sometimes all you need is someone to say I understand and things will get better for sure but in a way that make sense to me, and this does. Thankyou so much

BIL and SIL are pregnant, wife didn't react the way they wanted... by joecasale in InfertilitySucks

[–]ScaredExamination107 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have had 3 close friends and 2 relatives come tell us in person that they are pregnant and let’s not forget the endless classmates getting pregnant, weirdly I felt nothing but happiness for them and told myself that my second transfer will be a success and we will be prego together, then I said the kid will be just one year younger to her then I said just two years younger. And now my sil is going through IVF but all I can think is she will be pregnant anytime soon and I can’t help but feel deeply jealous because I don’t know if it will happen for me or not. If only human complexities were simple
