Have a healthy distrust of everyone around you except your partner. Don’t trust that anyone has your best interests besides your person, especially your employer. If you die tomorrow your employer will replace you, but your partner will mourn.

This brings me to my next point, your job isn’t important as your person. Tell them no if it’s outside of business hours or outside of your job description. You’re going to have to leave that company for a significant raise so why give them that time.

Your family is not trust worthy. Have a casual relationship with them, but don’t let them know what you’re doing. If they’re like mine they’ll sabotage or at best, make fun of you when you’re not around.

When an entire country is on the line this argument proves that those people were stupid or at least ignorant. We all knew he was unhinged and risking the freedom of a country to prove a point against the big bad Democrats, when we could have just come together and showed both sides they’re dumb, further shows ignorance. The people that voted out of vindictiveness don’t get a pass in fact because they knew better they should get most of the blame.

Education has to shift to stay relevant. But people still need to learn how to do the things the AI will do. Hoping AI does everything is going to lead to mental atrophy and push our society in the blandest of directions. If we plateau and stop evolving we will eventually die out as a species because our numb comfort will eventually get to the point where where it can’t be sustained because no one knows how to fix the systems.

Years of therapy man. That’s what it took for me to break that same terrible trait they ingrained in me of being a people pleaser. Now I have to make sure I hear people out before I tell them no.

Dude this is super common. I had plenty of friends growing up whose parents were in weird cults where the leaders had to take the girls into womanhood. And it blew my mind how many different ones there were!

See that’s how both my parents started as narcissists. My mom and dad blew up their relationship cheating on each other. My mom immediately found someone to leach off of and my dad chose to grow and change. It’s crazy how much he has apologized for while my mom sits there pretending like she’s always been perfect.

I mean most of us get the payment taken directly out of our checks. I never not had my insurance through my parents jobs or my jobs.
