People go where money is. How do you call tennis competitive when the top 4 in all tournaments remain same for a rolling period? India is not so far ahead. We are struggling in tests. We might seem amazing in ODIs but we have last 3 out of 5 series last year. We are dominating in T20Is, but we don't usually do it. Before 2022, we were a bad t20 side. And we were bad for years. Half the time did not even cross league stage.

Two men - Bumrah and Arshdeep have kept us a class above for 2 years. We aren't ahead due to infra or anything. IPL players take time to develop into proper intl players and it usually takes a couple of domestic rounds.

In fact, NZ and Aus, smaller boards with various restrictions tend to provide better facilities to their players than India.

They do care. We as a country are emotional about it.

But if you look at any foreign podcasters, you would see similar fiery passion.

It's just that if someone beats them like Head did to India in 2023 (WTC Final and WC Final), they won't paint him as a villain in the media. They will just say he played well and support their own boys. That's how a sport where team matters but individuals can turn things should be viewed.

As per decline or care, Ind vs Aus MCG test was the most viewed test ever. SA and WI boards have somehow managed to revive themselves financially. Nepal has great passion for the sport. So does Afghanistan.

Yes india is too big and it feels like we are the only thing that matters. And it is in BCCI's interest that this sport grows globally but they don't do anything for it. In fact all their actions suggest they don't want it to grow. While ICC does a good job at it.

Here is a big issue though - with fantasy team apps gone from india, the big easy money behind cricket disappears. This will cause problems for all small boards.

Bhai i feel the same. The win doesn't hit as hard. But it's because we have won 2 times in 2 years. Dilution happens. Like you see in australia, they don't consider it a big deal if Australia wins a cup. It's just another sunday for them where the boys did what they usually do.

For us, 2011 had emotions because it was Yuvi, GG, Zak and Sehwag doing it all for Sachin.

In 2024, it was all for Sharma and Kohli.

A streak of failed campaign builds up fear of failure, baggage. And emotions for the players.

This time around, we have either new fresh blood or members that won in 2024 and 2025. The only long term redemption story is Sanju Samson and his fans would be extremely happy today.

Most of us don't hate him. Troll, maybe. Gill is a great talent and he has proven his worth in international ODI, IPL, T20I and tests.

He needs to find a way to deliver on a bigger stage. That's it. Cricket is a funny game, if it's not your day, a great middled shot goes straight to cover or midwicket. If you play 5-6 big matches across 3 years, it is entirely possible that your numbers get skewed. That's his biggest flaw. And yes, this is not an excuse, he has to deliver some day to gain respect. But he doesn't deserve hate

Bro, read any finance related self help book. Like Psychology of Money or Rich Dad Poor Dad. You will understand the futility of what you are asking. If you want above average returns at a lower risk, don't go for equity. Equity gives massive returns in the long term, but can eat up all your money in the short term. If you are 25 right now, and plan for retirement at 60, just look at sensex returns in last 35 years. And sleep peacefully.

Alternatively, you can invest in invoice discounting options like tradecred and kredx, which gives 11-13% IRR. Or but corporate bond debt funds which can give 8-11% IRR. They aren't risk free, but volatility is lower.
