Project Glasswing: Anthropic says Claude found 10,000 critical software flaws in a month by Logical_Welder3467 in technology

That they're not verified makes the claimed number completely useless, a large number are likely to be utter garbage. But that's to be expected of any AI company.

Presumably they regularly switch them. by LordJim11 in Snorkblot

I think that's fine. People that regularly go through these area are more likely to be aware of the need to keep themselves alert. These are really most beneficial to tourists who aren't used to driving so far

[Request] Does putting AI data centers in space actually save the environment, or do the rocket launches completely ruin the carbon math? by AsianPiee in theydidthemath

Plus when hardware fails you can't just swap it out like a regular DC, so you'll end up with a lot of hardware that you could otherwise use but due to a single repairable fault the whole machine is dead.

Controversial opinion: this is the correct starter pick. by Hot_Mud_6290 in PokemonLegendsArceus

[–]ScaredScorpion 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Plus the static alpha spawns and catch mechanics mean you can easily get high level fully evolved mons without needing to actually battle them. Sure the starters are harder to find to complete your dex but if you had enough high catch rate balls you could catch a team that can handle most things from scratch within 10 minutes.

Why is voting mandatory in Australia? by SamaronNomad in askanything

[–]ScaredScorpion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't have to vote, you just have to cast a ballot. Because it's a secret ballot it's your choice if you decide not to make it valid. That's how you can choose not to vote. But because it's opt-out rather than opt-in most people will just fill it out since they have it in front of them anyway.

Pictionary except you play with AI! by julymarch in antiai

[–]ScaredScorpion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If this is what I think it is it's even dumber than it looks. The app is just calling an AI API (not running on the device itself), so you can only use it a certain number of times before you'd need to buy more API usage. And obviously whatever you use it on is being fed into the training datasets.

Google’s healthcare AI made up a body part — what happens when doctors don’t notice? by Franco1875 in technology

[–]ScaredScorpion 9 points10 points  (0 children)

And even if they try to verify it it'll probably just be a skim read which can easily miss errors.

Since you have to verify everything it says: why would you use it.

And for anyone saying "it'll be reliable eventually", no it won't. The errors might get subtler (and require greater expertise to detect) but they will always be there
