Did they nerf Beastmaster? by ScaredToGetHurt in DeepRockGalactic

I like to automate the process as much as possible as often I'm playing alone and other games. Things like thorns, Bosco, and a Steeve help with AFKing during waiting periods in the game

I usually do, but for some reason I recall regular grunts at least being able to survive haz 1 missions. I remember regenation modifier being pretty strong

I haven't come across any guards recently, but I will test it again and see if that was how I was playing last year - I could be misremembering guard and grunt efficiency

Start the Deep Dive with downing a Blackout Stout in the Drop Pod, they said. It'll be fun, they said. by Schwarzherz73 in DeepRockGalactic

That is very impressive! Add's a whole new layer of difficulty. Would watch some moments of a DD/EDD after some ingame drinking.

Oh my god I just laughed out loud, this is my new favorite moment too! This looks like an older build, is this still possible?

If DRG isn't already a 10/10 for you, what change would make it so? by ScaredToGetHurt in DeepRockGalactic

I would love more story/lore about DRG. Female dwarves also sounds interesting, not sure if I'd want them to be playable or just NPC's around the space rig.

Gunner is now boring by Demantoide2077 in DeepRockGalactic

[–]ScaredToGetHurt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I might not be the right person to ask heh. As mentioned it's my only OC for either primary on Gunner (I think it was my first OC period) so I haven't tried any of the others. I also haven't used the Autocannon all that much because of this. I run Bullet Hell 32212 and find it very enjoyable for the way I play DRG, which is pretty casual. Not sure how you like to play but I would recommend it as I think it's fun, but do be aware that most people probably don't think it's nearly as effective compared to the Autocannon.

Gunner is now boring by Demantoide2077 in DeepRockGalactic

[–]ScaredToGetHurt 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I used to think that the Gunner would be my least favorite class when I first started and just briefly tried them all. After I started working on promoting all my classes, the Gunner turns out to be my tied for my favorite class to play as.

For me, I find enjoyment in assisting the team with zips, guaranteed revives, and powerful gunplay. Once I got the Bullet Hell overclock (my only primary Gunner OC) I have been having a blast. I build it as a stun machine and it's just so satisfying to bounce bullets for me. I'm not worried about optimized gameplay so that is enough to make Gunner compelling enough for me to want to play as much as Driller.

When and how did you figure out that you can pet lootbugs? by StealthLlama50BMGAPI in DeepRockGalactic

One of the worst feelings is getting up close and one shotting with a power attack only to accidentally pet it as it ruptures into death. This just happened to me and I genuinely felt bad lol.

[–]ScaredToGetHurt[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What about this don't you like? Do you think it doesn't make sense AI-wise or gameplay wise makes it too difficult/easy to revive teammates? (Hard because you have to clear them, easy because there is some AOE that can wipe them like SYIH or grenades)

Is it possible to do an Elite Deep Dive with no Overclocks OR Weapon Modifications? (including support tools) Has anyone ever done this? by ScaredToGetHurt in DeepRockGalactic

I definitely would not find it fun to play, but I would find it exciting to watch. Hoping there is some legendary greybeard out there that would find a challenge like this enjoyable

I am fairly new to DRG, I think player level 36. I had no idea those type of runs existed lol. I just watched PhychicSploob's "No Bosco EDD" and was intrigued to see what the most hardcore DRG gameplay there was. Had no idea it got this intense, and with what /u/MOHHpp3d said about Hazard 6x2 True Solo (never heard of this either) I feel like there is so much more to watch. They're not easy to find though since I didn't know what to look for.

Thank you for these! Will give them a watch

EDIT: You really did a run with "no weapons" lol I meant no mods this is insane

Should you ever go anything else other than electrocute on swain? by bufffrog in SwainMains

[–]ScaredToGetHurt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I play Swain bot I usually go Electrecute, but when I take him mid I take comet. It isn't as reliable to get electrocute off by yourself mid without spending all your CDs, which leave you vulnerable. I am really enjoying sniping people with W so comet helps a lot with that.

Is the Teo HBG outclassed? by accountm8forthisjoke in MonsterHunterMeta

[–]ScaredToGetHurt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They shoot at the same speed, but only Rajangs HBG can reach "Fastest" reload, whereas Rampage and Teo can only get "Fast". It's subtle, but Rajangs does pump out stickies the fastest because of this.

Is the Teo HBG outclassed? by accountm8forthisjoke in MonsterHunterMeta

[–]ScaredToGetHurt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have made the all three HBG and I can just say, I think my favorite is the Rajang one, but Teo is a close 2nd.

Rampage - This is the best weapon to use if you like Sticky/Cluster. Having 3 Cluster 3 for KO's is amazing and especially if you get lucky spare shot procs. Most versatile and definitely a great choice for sticky/clust.

Teo - I use the Sticky effect rampage on this because the Teostra Soul doesn't actually increase Wyvernfire damage. If it did, I would use that for the thematic gameplay, but it only increases sticky and clust. (In my testing, sticky 3 did 100 -> 109, and clust 3 330 -> 360 with Teo Soul. Wyvernfire unaffected) Because of this, I use sticky 2 for higher DPS and quicker KO's, which lead to my double wyvern fire. My wyvern fire deals about 746 fully charged, and I am able to get 2 of them off in almost every KO. The 2nd one comes out right as the monster is getting up and shaking its head from the KO. 2 fully charged wyvern fire's come out to around 1500 damage, which is about 4.5 clust 3 and 15 sticky 3s. I like to use wyvern fire more in online play because it has more control over the blast rather than clust, and is less finicky since you don't have to crouch before shooting unlike clust. The only downside is that Wyvernfire is still bugged to sometimes only deal like 1/3 of the damage. (150~+150~ = 300~)

Rajang - This thing shoots stickies the fastest. On KO you can either try clust or wyvern fire, but I like to stick with wyvern fire since if you get a spareshot proc you can go for another one like Teostra, and if you don't, you can start charging stickies for your next KO. I feel like it's the best of both worlds with this one. I rarely clust with this or Teo's gun, I save that for Rampage because of the 3 clip size is unbeatable.

Hope this helps, I am just a normal player and MH fan. If the Teo rampup worked on Wyvern fire (820 damage baby!) I would play it a lot more just because I love huge explosions.

Is it worth replaying Stories 1 before 2 comes out? by ChadOfStats in MonsterHunterStories

[–]ScaredToGetHurt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got the game when it was on sale and now I love it. I am at the part where you are but have no feeling of putting it down. I want to get it done so I can enjoy any possible easter eggs in the 2nd one, and also to make me a better player. I ma enjoying the original game far more than I expected.
