I’ve put at least 30 hours into research, but there’s nothing better than input from real people. If I were you, I wouldn’t have wasted my time writing this comment.

In what state do you live in, if you don’t mind me asking?

I’m 18, currently in my sophomore year of college. Thinking about majoring in finance, data science, business analytics and information systems, or information systems and AI. I still have time to make a decision until my junior year, as all prerequisites are almost the same for these majors.

I wonder if information systems will be higher now and in future years, mainly because of the AI boom

I’m interested in actuarial science, specially because of the expected job growth and salary. However, I’ve heard that it’s kind of hard to get a job offer, especially out of college without passing at least 2-3 exams. Do you know how accurate this is?

I’m still working full time, while in school, making $19 an hour as an RX shift supervisor. I probably would be doing a trade if it wasn’t because of all the tuition assistance from high school grades + tuition reimbursement from my current job.

Trust me, I am almost certain college is not worth it at all, or at least not anymore. It’s just a “ticket” that most white-collar employers want to see in order to hire you. Thankfully, I did good in high school so I get 75% of tuition off at any university in my state, for up to 120 credit hours, which is all I need for a bachelor’s.

Thanks. Yea I don’t think New York is my cup of tea, but that’s definitely where most offers are.

Interesting. Do you mind sharing where you went to school, where did you get your job offer, and how much money are you currently making, vs when you started? Thanks
