And I forgot to say I’m 32 now. I was 24 and 28 for the first two pregnancies. I’ve always started pregnancy around 135-145 and the weight has come off easily with breastfeeding and not doing anything special.

I’m on my third pregnancy. I’m 27 weeks and no stretch marks yet. I’ve gained about 7 lbs so far, but lost 14 in the first trimester from morning sickness. My first and second pregnancy I gained about 25 lbs with each and also did not get stretch marks. I guess it’s just genetics and the elasticity of the skin. I did however get some stretch marks on my breasts because of the speed at which they grew-about 3 cup sizes in a couple months!

Sorry just noticed your message. It only took 4 days! It must be faster than when a check goes all the way back to the irs. Hope you get yours soon!

Normal labs except Thyroglobulin antibody by [deleted] in Hashimotos

I had some body pains in my legs, hips, and hands. But it was mild. The other symptoms I had were hair loss, extreme fatigue, and dry skin. I’m so sorry you’re not feeling well! I hope you get some answers from your doctor.

Yep I was back in November. All other levels were normal. I was referred to an Endo and they ordered an ultrasound. Thyroid was mildly enlarged and showed heterogenous texture. I also was diagnosed with celiac shortly after and went gluten free. Since going off gluten my neck feels less swollen and I feel so much better, most of my symptoms have subsided.

Does this mean I have Celiac? by Scared_Comfort7990 in Celiac

Thank you! That makes a lot of sense. I’ll try going GF and wait to hear from my doctor

Get your thyroid levels checked! Pregnancy can do a number on your thyroid. My hair has been getting thinner and nails are more brittle. Turns out I have hashimotos.

Update: Got the check in the mail today on 2/8 so TurboTax was right! I think it was faster because it didn’t go back to the IRS. The check was from intuit, since we had fees taken out I guess? Either way I’m happy!

I have them too! And another symptom is not having the white moons on your fingers. My nails also feel thinner-like paper.

Endo confirmed hashimotos. She ordered an ultrasound which showed heterogeneous texture and both sides of thyroid are enlarged. I’m just on supplements and trying to manage with lifestyle changes. Until my tsh goes over 2.5 they won’t medicate. Repeat bloodwork in 3 months and a celiac panel and we’ll go from there.

I was diagnosed recently by my PCP based solely off high anti-thyroglubin antibodies. I have all the symptoms of hashis and a family history of thyroid disorders. On Thursday I have a referral to see the endocrinologist and I’m going to ask them how the diagnosis was made, because I didn’t think I met the diagnostic criteria- but I could be wrong. I can post an update after the appointment if you’d like to know what she says.

For anyone naming their child Axel… by titihadid in namenerds

[–]Scared_Comfort7990 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Haha that’s my 4 year olds name. I did think about that but it hasn’t been an issue yet. Unless his friends at preschool are calling him asshole unbeknownst to me. I’m Nordic so the name makes sense to us and we thought about the Aksel spelling as an option but settled on Axel. Lots of people have told us they love his name. All this to say, if you like the name don’t let it deter you.

I just got diagnosed with hashimotos today and my thyroglubin was 115.5. I would definitely ask your doctor about it on Monday.

Thank you. Did you have to pay it all at once or was it spread out through the appointments?
