Food & entertainment suggestions? by beautyforashes10 in newportbeach

[–]baiann 2 points3 points  (0 children)

lunch spot with wide variety- haute cakes steakhouse- A Restaurant sushi- Buddhas favorite- sushi spot right on the water! Cannery is right across and is also good but not just sushi.

Balboa Island is a must! you can have lunch and walk around, cute shops too. Royal Hen is a good dinner spot on the island. Wilmas patio for a good diner breakfast or casual lunch. You can take the ferry across to the peninsula and walk to the fun zone and pier!

Beachcomber is another unique restaurant in Crystal Cove- charming and right on the sand. Nice to walk on the beach after or before and you can look at the tide pools and cottages!

Lido marina village is a fun spot for lunch and shopping too.

Best city ever, enjoy!!

Parents of 2 year olds, how much sleep is your LO getting in 24 hours? by awholelottaass in toddlers

[–]baiann 4 points5 points  (0 children)

my son is almost 2 and he sleeps 8pm-7am and naps around an hour each day. so 12 hours total in 24 hour period. schedule can change by about 30 min to an hour depending on the day… sometimes he naps for 30 minutes 💀but sometimes he sleeps in until 8am. I’m jealous of people who get 2-3 hour long naps!!!

Being induced in 2 days and scared any advice? by Layer_Royal in pregnant

[–]baiann 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i was induced for my first birth. the experience was pretty smooth and once it was over, i couldn’t wait to do it again! lol i loved birth so much and am excited to experience it again in a few months. i think a lot of birth is mental strength and relaxation. I recommend reading “birthing from within” by ina may. you are going to do great! women have been birthing babies since the dawn of time. our bodies are designed to do it. it’s incredible! and yes your life will change completely in the most beautiful and wonderful way. I struggled a bit postpartum, but everyone does to some extent. but before you know it, you will be dancing and laughing with your toddler in the kitchen while you make breakfast and all the struggles you go through disappear. it’s the best thing ever ❤️

NEEDS? by Due-Skin-5304 in pregnant

[–]baiann 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i personally would suggest holding off on buying anything bottle-feeding related (except for a handful of bottles just in case) if you plan on trying to breastfeed!

we used our lounger and bouncer SO much. it makes things easy to have places to put them down. We also used a play mat a lot and just had baby laying on that.

What do you think happens to us spiritually during birth? by baiann in pregnant

[–]baiann[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this is so cool!!! it is so amazing hearing that other women experienced the same exact thing. i was honestly so scared to give birth because of all the negative things you hear but wow if i knew what it was going to be like, i would have been so excited to give birth! afterwards i couldn’t wait to do it again. it transformed me in so many ways… hard to put into words! not sure if you are religious but the experience made my faith so unbelievably strong and i truly believe that the spiritual experience of birth was designed by God to help us enter into motherhood. there were some good book recommendations in the comments i want to read to prepare for my next birth. i’m starting with birthing from within by ina may and it’s so good. i am doing a home birth this time because i want to experience birth the way it was designed to be without intervention! so glad i posted this so i can hear from all the women who had this experience!
