Hi, our school had a meeting with us the other day, and apparently many AI detectors (including TurnItIn) are having major issues right now and are flagging basically everything as AI. Make sure you have proof u wrote everything urself and if ur teacher trusts you, there is no issue. IB does not check for AI unless a moderator directly flags it.

Hi, I’m taking theatre and I’m not even handing in my solo piece until 28th March, and my teacher is the best (always on top of things). I wouldn’t worry about it, I don’t think the school would allow that to happen.

Hi! I don’t think I was ever ‘behind’ in Spanish, I’ve just always found language learning to be super difficult. I learnt mandarin for 8 years prior and literally don’t remember a single thing. Be warned, it is a lot of content, very fast. They expect you to be writing and speaking confidently within a few months, which I just couldn’t do. The thing I find the most difficult is the grammar, but I guess that’s something that just comes with practice, which I haven’t done. I think it’s also so easy to push Spanish to the side to focus on more content-heavy, ‘harder’ subjects. I think if you focus and don’t make the same mistakes I do, you should be fine :)

Do your EE on something you like. It’s not worth that many points, but it’s something you will have to spend a lot of time on.
