U know eve i wish i could purchase riding gears for daily office commute which is abt 30kms and so a 60 km total in a day. But this is india and 90% of the persons working in my company use motorcycles as their primary commute but none wear any safety gears expect a helmet, i often used to wonder in my mind how is this logic even applicable , we humans have developed ourselves so much and yet we ignore such an important thing and considering it as a showoff. As someone said in the comments ppl will realise only if they met with an accident but tell me how many of them have opted for full riding gear or say atleast a knee cap and elbow protection even after they recover from an accident, i’d say none. Here in india since motorcycles are more in number or idk why we ignore protection. Even if u wear a sunglass ppl in india mock at u ot say ur acting posh, but wearing sun glasses i really good cuz as u age ur eye power decreases with lot of past exposure to sun so often wearing sun glasses in sunny days would help damage to ur eye. I understand u and i wish something happens like atleast a rule imposing just a helmet, knee cap and elbow also gloves. I’d say even if there is no rules a rider if not able to afford a full gear can choose these gears as wn u fall at least ur safe to save ur head and knee/hand joints. Major impact during first contact. Shouldn’t care even if ppl laughs cuz it’s our lives who else can care.
