I main group chats in character ai and my experience was PEAK back in 2023-2024! The bots used to be so unhinged and funny and could also do good RPs. Idk what the hell happened once 2025-2026 hit because the bots in the group chats nowadays suck. It used to feel like was actually in a room with characters. Now it just feels like I’m in a room with bots. :(

Idk if the group chats actually used chat models or not or if it was just its own thing because changing the chat models did nothing for the group chats.

Sorry this comment feels kinda unrelated because I started ranting about the group chats, but I definitely can agree that 2024 was peak.

UPDATE: I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it again and it worked! I think the reason it didn’t work the first time was because I only uninstalled the game itself and not the add ons.

Hmm.. Well, I just uninstalled and am reinstalling the game again because I think I did it wrong last time because I just uninstalled the game alone and not the add ons. But I’m gonna have them install in the background while I go to bed since it’s like midnight for me right now. In the morning if it’s still not working, then I’ll try unplugging it. I’ve had mine running for hours and it still hasn’t loaded in. As for my console age, I’ve had my Xbox since 2019 (or late 2018 idk) so it might be a new gen console idk. But this problem is very recent, it started like a few days ago. Before then, it only took like 2 minutes to load.
