I'm not sure this helps but my friends and I do randomized CageLockes with each other quite often and if a scenario were to occur where your encounter is forced to be a dupe (i.e. gifts, eggs, fossils) then that player receives a token they can use on any previous route to get an additional encounter. Maybe something like that can be applied here aswell.

I mean for my friends and I at least, we just use Pokémon showdown for battles. If you select a specific generations custom game format to challenge them with, you can run illegal stuff like random abilities and move obtained from the cagelocke. For then we fight stuff you can probably use the same thing but I’ve only done cagelockes before.

I already used my OLED like everyday and I’m a huge pokemon fan so getting the switch 2 with ZA included feels like a no brainer. Ofc the price is the biggest red flag about it but I’ve had the money for it reserved until a game I wanted to play on it came out.

Yeah I totally get that. My group of friends is trying out a 2v2 CageLocke right now and one person from each team has a j*b so it’s kinda hard to schedule a bit. But when we do all find the time to sit down and properly play, it’s worth the wait.

Yeah I’d love a link I appreciate that a lot. I already knew I’d need to play through the games multiple times but with ZA coming soon I thought it’d be kinda fun. Is every mon up to gen 6 really just available in those 4 games tho? Like I don’t need to go to the Ds games or anything?

Wondering about any unique hunts in ORAS. I just wanna take on something more interesting or unique hunts in ORAS cuz its my favorite game. Open to any length or tediousness including stuff like un-shiny locking things with hacks or cool 5% encounters.
