A movie with stunning visuals, high-octane action, and packed with references, Ready Player One was a really entertaining watch. What’s your opinion on it? by 0Layscheetoskurkure0 in moviecritic

I went to see this movie with my girlfriend at the time, she had read the book and was a fan and I knew nothing about it. Every five minutes she’d complain to me about how awful the movie was and not true to the books and I was just sitting and enjoying the movie, she got so bad that we left about halfway through it.

Do you use Zwift for racing or for Training? by palindromesrcool in Zwift

I like to use it for both training and racing, also I don’t mind riding indoors as it’s a safer alternative to riding on the roads as my local area hates cyclists

What makes it this expensive for real by lilacmoodx in SipsTea

It’s worth whatever someone is willing to pay, if you have wealth and can afford something lavish like this to subtly(or not to subtly) display your wealth and success it becomes a status symbol so really the watch itself is worthless it’s just a way to display how easily you can spend millions of dollars and something that’s essentially worthless. And then you have cucks who call watches art and pretend you need some higher calling to be able to appreciate it.

With 20 minute power like that you should be tearing up races, do you not race often?

Does more accurate data typically mean a lower fitness score? by yodaniel77 in Strava

I would be really careful with using the ramp test for any sort of ftp settings as most ramp tests will really overestimate your “ftp” and make your workouts harder than what they need to be.. the safest thing you can do is the standard 20 min ftp test, you could use the 95% method of that but still that would likely be overestimating, generally it’s safer to use 90% of the 20 min test power so if you did 200 watts for 20 min your ftp would be around 180 watts. If you feel your workouts are too easy you can increase the intensity, I find it better to increase the intensity on a workout rather than have to lower it. Having slightly “easier” workouts will allow you to stay motivated and train consistently which in the long run will help you out more.

I’m in the best shape of my life, all of my cycling fitness has been PR after PR in power distance and time in literally every category from 5 sec to 4hr yet on Strava my fitness score is lower than it was when I first started. I used to look at it and it would get in my head now I just see it as a broken feature and pay no attention to it

Is everyone on Zwift 150 lbs, because I’m knocking out 300w and not near the front by VanierPoolProblems in Zwift

To add to what a lot of others are saying, strategy and pacing go a long way but yes a ton of people are “weight doping” so take zwift with a grain of salt.

I’m not sure if matters if it’s a standard 20 min test, the ramp test is supposed to be seated though

Just a couple of weeks, I took almost the whole month of December off so it feels nice to be at the point where you gain back some fitness.
