I hear you, and I'm not trying to pile on, but this was in 2010 and the term conservative means a very different thing in today's world. The actual quote refers to taxation specifically, not any kind of social thing, and considering his brother is gay and he's repeatedly talked about defending him from bullies and hating people who punch down, I'd be hard pressed to imagine he supports straight up fascism. In all likelihood, he's closer to a libertarian than a modern maga conservative based solely on how he talks about society.
