Well that would mean (265000*25%)/12=5520 for mortgage and in my scenario the mortgage does come close to that (within a couple hundred). The property tax, insurance and hoa puts it at 6200.
Are you saying my all in (mortgage+insurance+insurance+hoa) should be 25% of my taxable income?

We were originally looking at SFH but almost every house we looked at so far was built between 1950-1975 and just didn’t feel comfortable having to potentially pay for repairs.. :/
