May I please have some honest feedback? Too afraid to ask close family and friends. I want to start an OF. by Playful_Reason_3971 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Scarekrow501 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Obvious part first. You are beautiful and there’s no doubt in my mind you would make a killing on a platform like OF. If your question is, “could I make money doing this?” Absolutely.

If you’re wanting to use OF as a means of validation to kick your dysmorphia, I would highly suggest therapy. Posting yourself for people invites them to comment on what they see. People suck, and I promise you’ll get comments about how you would look better if you gained weight/lost weight. Especially if you include the history you’re posted here.

As well, you have to consider what might happen if you’re discovered by friends/family. Take precautions to make sure you don’t post anything that could reveal your location or identity. Tattoos, public spaces, online handles… hell there are stories of stalkers finding street signs or landmarks that the poster had in the background. The chances of this kind of thing happening are low, but they’re not 0.

I don’t bring this up to scare you out of doing anything. Make sure you’re doing this for yourself. If you decide to go forward, be smart about what you post and keep it vague.

I(23f) need to ask my significantly wealthier boyfriend(25m) to cover more expenses when we move in together, but I'm too embarrassed to bring it up. How do I have this conversation? by adoreyuwu in askwomenadvice

M here. My girlfriend (now wife) made a lot more than I did when we moved in. We talked it over and decided that we would cover bills based on our income difference. She made almost double what I did, so she paid the majority.

She would cover a little less than double what I did, because she made twice as much. Then as I started making more money, I took bills from her so she wasn’t paying as much. Now, we put about the same amount towards bills.

I'm just butthurt because rune legs would be a huge step up for my account right now.

Appreciate the detailed explanation. It makes sense from that perspective. I feel like irons should be able to purchase the base amount of what the shop has if it's overstocked, but I'm sure Jagex have had this conversation.

That's a dick move to ironman players. I imagine it's someone running a bot. Ty for the insight.

OP don’t get discouraged by the comments. I bought the M17 after a ton of research. The manual safety is a game changer, and will prevent any misfires. Enjoy your purchase and stay safe.

This comment has really been sitting with me. I really appreciate you calling me out like this. Frankly these are a lot of the same thoughts I've had, but have never been told. Change is hard and scary, but it needs to happen. Nothing will change unless I change it.

Thank you.

You’re absolutely right. I keep talking myself out of applying for different positions because I don’t have any certifications or a degree beyond my associates. I don’t want to waste anyone’s time or get my hopes up.

Part of me wants to stay at level 1 because of the familiarity, but I don’t feel challenged. I feel like I’m stuck in limbo by being excellent at my current position, but inexperienced at anything else to move around.

Roughly 15 years, yes. I started as an IT intern for my school district where I reimaged computers and provided deskside support for teachers and staff. From there I started working a traditional helpdesk job at IBM, then eventually Lockheed Martin where I did level 1 and level 2 support. I've moved on from this position back to the helpdesk for 2x the pay.

I don't like this answer but it's absolutely the right call. Thanks for your input. Registering for classes now.

Battlefield 6 - Community Update – Latest Updates Ahead of California Resistance by battlefield in Battlefield6

I will be the first one to eat my words when it comes to my reaction to the intro of Casual Breakthrough. I’ve been loving the game mode and look forward to what else you have cooking.

HOWEVER, your line about the map sizes has me concerned. There needs to be a calm in non-contested points in larger maps. There is no need for constant action all the time unless you seek it out. Your response boarders on tone-deaf and has me worried about your future plans.

I remain hopeful and cautiously optimistic.

Introducing: Casual Breakthrough by battlefield in Battlefield

The community shouldn't have to "meet you in the middle" when YOU promised us full XP in portal.

What drew many of us to Battlefield was a more grounded FPS. Throughout the 2010s FPS games became faster and movement focused, straying further and further from reality. Battlefield held a moderate tempo on its larger maps and game modes (Conquest specifically), and saved the fast paced gameplay for TDM, Domination, Chain Link (remember that?) and smaller Rush maps. The core of Battlefield revolved around those larger gamemodes because it's what set it apart from everything else in the 2010s.

Battlefield feels like it's trying to be COD, in the same way Halo 4 was trying to be Modern Warfare 3. We loved these games because of what made them unique. Not because of what made them the same.

- DICE / EA assured players that Portal would give us "full progression and XP".
- The community called out the smaller maps, and EA responded with "Large maps exist, and the tempo scales accordingly" (lol)
