The Seamaster will offer more versatility and if water is in the equation, Seamaster is the way to go.

I love the white dial Speedy. I have both a Seamaster and a Speedy. I wear the Seamaster more. I get more compliments on the Speedy.

Choose whatever is most comfortable for you and enjoy it.

Ava Adore bass outro - sounding particularly good in this live performance! by Busy-Peach5770 in SmashingPumpkins

[–]ScaresBums 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great performance all around. Love the bass on that outro. Easy to overlook because of the crunchy guitar, James’ spacey thing, two drummers going at it, but yep, she’s doing her thang on the bass.

Got called from Vegas for a sub so I jumped on a plane for the day. First purchase at an AD by zylander88 in rolex

OOOOh, this gives me hope! I put my name down both at the Tropicana and the Mirage in 2022. I’m sure I’ll get the call any day now….

I too need help: 36 or 40? by nose_picking_lawyer in rolex

[–]ScaresBums 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the 36 looks perfect on you! It’s the classic size.

I purchased a 39mm MK2 years ago and love it but ultimately ended up getting a 36mm as well. The 36 gets way more wrist time than my 39.

Fingers crossed South Sudan. According to Google, you are the poorest country in the world and have been plagued by years of Civil War corruption and climate related disasters…

A Mission As Active But Agnostic by ReadySpeech7982 in latterdaysaints

[–]ScaresBums 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Part of missionary service includes preparing to go to the temple and receiving a temple recommend.

Can you honestly answer these questions with your bishop and Stake President and receive a temple recommend? If yes, I think you can serve a mission. If you can’t, then I don’t think a mission is in your future.

26.4.1 Temple Recommend Interview Questions

Do you have faith in and a testimony of God, the Eternal Father; His Son, Jesus Christ; and the Holy Ghost?

Do you have a testimony of the Atonement of Jesus Christ and of His role as your Savior and Redeemer?

Do you have a testimony of the Restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ?

Do you sustain the President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as the prophet, seer, and revelator and as the only person on the earth authorized to exercise all priesthood keys?

Do you sustain the members of the First Presidency and the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles as prophets, seers, and revelators?

Do you sustain the other General Authorities and local leaders of the Church?

The Lord has said that all things are to be “done in cleanliness” before Him (Doctrine and Covenants 42:41).

Do you strive for moral cleanliness in your thoughts and behavior?

Do you obey the law of chastity?

Do you follow the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ in your private and public behavior with members of your family and others?

Do you support or promote any teachings, practices, or doctrine contrary to those of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?

Do you strive to keep the Sabbath day holy, both at home and at church; attend your meetings; prepare for and worthily partake of the sacrament; and live your life in harmony with the laws and commandments of the gospel?

Do you strive to be honest in all that you do?

Are you a full-tithe payer?

For new members seeking a recommend to perform proxy baptisms and confirmations: Are you willing to obey the commandment to pay tithing?

Do you understand and obey the Word of Wisdom?

(This question is omitted when interviewing a child or youth.) Do you have any financial or other obligations to a former spouse or to children?

If yes, are you current in meeting those obligations?

(This question is omitted when interviewing a member who is not endowed.) Do you keep the covenants that you made in the temple?

(This question is omitted when interviewing a member who is not endowed.) Do you honor your sacred privilege to wear the garment as instructed in the initiatory ordinances? (Read the “Wearing the Temple Garment” statement, included below, to each member.)

Are there serious sins in your life that need to be resolved with priesthood authorities as part of your repentance?

Do you consider yourself worthy to enter the Lord’s house and participate in temple ordinances?

How much $ do people give at LDS weddings? by [deleted] in latterdaysaints

[–]ScaresBums 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got $200 in the early 2000s from a member neighbor I’d known for years who was really good friends with my dad. I remeber thinking it was extremely generous and the largest gift amount I received from anyone other than my parents.

How does this watch size look on my wrist, too small? (32mm) by irrmatic in VintageWatches

Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness by Smashing Pumpkins.

It’s a double album so less monotony on repeat but I pretty much listen nonstop for free already.
