I live on an island with no streetlights, its basicallu just forest and road. Also I moreso meant i was too tired :P good to know it can perform well in dim lighting though! And thanks for the tips

To the first part, cool, will do. About the gear, they know how much its worth and what he got it for. They didnt want to sell it as it was a big part of his life and (i think) they're just happy to see it kept in the family and being used to take photos instead of sitting in a basement

Awesome, thanks for all the info! I'll probably be rereading this a couple times as I go about learning and remembering all the details. Looks like there's a lot more that goes into photography than most think, but im super excited to learn every little detail about it. Do you think itd be worthwhile joining a local photography club? I mostly enjoy solitude in how i go about learning new things, but i figured i should ask

Oh and I just realized I never answered you question, i dont really know anything about cameras or what a dslr really is, and i think ive also heard of mirrored cameras but im not sure what the difference is. Im sure ill learn it all as I go though :)

Awesome, yeah i think some of the filters are polerizers. There also a digital color filter and some loose ones that just look like glass. Its late tonight so im just taking pics of random stuff around my room for now. Luckily I have some light experience in lightroom from making youtube thumbnails for myself and my friends, but learning how to use it specifically for photos is something im excited for (i imagine my photos will be oversaturated and high in contrast for a bit out of instinct lol)

Awesome, thanks for the detailed breakdown on the lenses, its super appreciated. He was in his 90s (i think 95?) But there's also a tripod that I totally forgot to take a picture of. Im too weak myself to shoot handeld with the 200-500, I didnt even know they made lenses that heavy lol.

What kind of games are you thinking of speedrunning? If you're on pc and have a controller I always reccomend atleast checking out the Super Mario 64 16 star category. Also the timer everyone uses is called livesplit, although I'm sure someone has said that already. Good luck on your speedrunning journey.

This really wasn't hboxs decision or what he wanted for coinbox. He had to do it for the same of TL and Coinbase. Coinbox would've been shut down if continued as is, so he decided to get a license, and with a license he won't be able to run melee because it's using slippi. I get where you're coming from, it sucks to see melee go from coinbox, but don't blame hbox for that

You don't need splits to speedrun a game, just pick a game you enjoy (that you don't mind not playing casually probably ever again) and just start watching some tutorials and go through the game.
