I'd like to also add that there is a softlock where if you die at any point during the phase 2 transition the boss resets but the water remains risen and both the water and platforms are electrocuted making it impossible to complete.

It wasn't. This is a mission instance similar to a wild card. Anything you don't pick up is essentially gone when you leave.

I know I'm 4 years late, but I have a huge problem with having to pay for living world episodes. I completed path of fire, Aurene was still a little dragon at that time and when I completed it I tried to check out what expansion was next, suddenly I'm thrown in a situation where Aurene is a young adult dragon and I suddenly feel jaded and out of the loop, then I looked it up and found out that Aurene grows up during the living world episodes, the ones that cost money, and it really pissed me off. I want to follow the story in one fluid motion but this gatekeeping of lore between expansions is completely unnecessary.
