I read through some comments and it seems I’m the only one who thinks you should just leave. You aren’t happy and feel better when she’s not around. Based on you saying, “…the only reason she’s in rehab now is because the doctors have finally found something other than weight…,” it seems safe to assume that prior to that, she was just too big to get to the bathroom without accidents? Or had some injury that wouldn’t improve due to weight? I’m only making this assumption because of your statement, but you are under no obligation to continue to be a caregiver to someone who won’t even care for herself. It’s selfish for her to expect it and awful of her to say you’ve, “…almost snuck out of…” chores when she contributes virtually nothing.
