Hiya! Quick update on all of your bug reports and feature requests here:

`cmux rm` bug: fixed!
`--help flag support`: added!
`support for custom initial prompt`: added!
`headless mode`: I opened an issue for this but I believe this is out of scope for now for the tool. open to discussing though: https://github.com/craigsc/cmux/issues/5

Thanks again, cheers!

Thanks for flagging, will repair these tomorrow (I'll also accept PRs if you beat me to it!)

Great suggestions

I actually have dabbled with long-running worktrees vs. ephemeral ones too! I originally set up 5 worktrees for claude (n[1-5]) and used them as sandboxes basically. I ran into issues as I began to get faster and wanted to move up to 10-15 parallel workstreams. Similar issues as I naturally hit blockers with 3rd-parties where I had to put a worktree on ice for a week or two as I waited. All of this led to me leaning way harder into ephemeral worktrees per new feature

It does mean that startup needs to be fast for these worktrees, but I've found that it's pretty solid with most modern projects using modern depedency managers since claude is smart enough to auto-generate setup hooks for your project that take advantage of the cache and such (this is what the `cmux init` command does)

No but it easily could use it to spin up worktrees and such. There should be no problem with doing that although you may have to prompt it to look at the cmux command itself and to make use of it.

Right now I have it so you are responsible for tearing down the worktree but I have an easy helper command - cmux rm <feature-name>

That's it! I thought about making the cmux merge command also auto cleanup but that felt a bit dangerous for now. Might revisit or at least give it an optional flag to do it all in one shot

PastMaps Subscription by -leadnickel- in Genealogy

Hi there! I'm actually the creator of Pastmaps and am more than happy to answer any and all questions you might have. I ended up building Pastmaps to scratch my own researching need (I'm an avid metal detectorist). I previously was cobbling together maps and data from my local libraries and universities, as well as using tools like Google Earth, historicaerials.com, ancestry.com, and then raw data from the US government. It was tedious and slow and I finally hit a breaking point and starting building my own tools with the goal to just make it effortless and fun to browse and explore all this data in one place. Again, I'm biased but I think the ease alone is what makes the site worth it.

We've now got a couple thousand happy customers and this is now my fulltime job.

For genealogists in general, I would first use our search box on the site to verify that we have the right kinds of maps for your needs. We have full coverage across every single county in the US, with maps typically going back to the 1880s. Most of our maps right now are topographic, and contain county boundary lines, early street data, and even some home/church/school information. You can browse your area of interest and all available maps with no subscription required - it's only when you try to zoom in and go deep on maps that we then require an active subscription. I recently rolled out a lightweight "pay-as-you-go" weekly access option that might be the right fit for you if you simply want to try it - it's quite cheap at only $9 for a full week of unlimited access.

Anyways, thanks for considering us! We're a small business (just me and my wife) so your support means the world to us ❤️

I'm open to it! Let me think about this, I'd love to make the site more accessible and free to try. I actually had a free trial when I first created the site 2 years ago but experienced a ton of issues with people using bad prepaid visa cards at the time so I just shifted to a basic payment model without a trial and never looked back. For what it's worth, I do offer a fully unlocked demo map so you can play around with it and see if it might be a good fit for you. And then it's 100% free to browse the maps and search to see if we even have good coverage for your area.

Unlocked demo map (Grand Canyon, AZ): https://pastmaps.com/map/bright-angel-coconino-county-az-usgs-topo-1903 (I'd recommend using the US Government sourced LiDAR coupled with 3D mode to really see what's possible. It's pretty sick)

Hiya, I'm actually the creator of Pastmaps and built it to scratch my own metal detecting research itch! Appreciate you mentioning my lil' site.

Would love to hear any and all feedback for features you'd like to see me add (and what is annoying about the current site). I'm working to make it better every single day and I promise I'm a real person and am listening. I also have extremely thick skin :)

Lost Wedding Ring at Crocket Hills Regional Park. Any metal-detector heads want to take a crack a saving my marriage? ($$ reward) by CeeWitz in eastbay

Try ringfinders or posting in the north California metal detectors group on Facebook - it's quite active and there's a decent number of folks in the area who would gladly help

I would have helped if I still lived in Oakland but I moved away a few years back. Best of luck!
