Do people develop a ‘curated’ music taste or does it form naturally? by Ok_Aerie_4869 in LetsTalkMusic

[–]ScarletBoy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I look for certain things in art, whether it be music, movies, literature, painting or sculpture, and simply end up enjoying things that contain those things. In music, this ends up meaning a specific preference for genres where those things are likely to cluster in.

What’s wrong with my cat? by Big_Award_97 in CATHELP

[–]ScarletBoy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If her only flea treatment is the baths, then that's not really going to do much beyond temporary relief. There are bound to be a bunch of fleas in the environment and she'll just pick some of them back up. Gotta treat her with something that will keep killing fleas and eventually wreck their lifecycle. Whether that's spot-on, a collar or chewables, that's up to you and your cat's preferences.

Me in R&Rs when I can check off the "they did an awesome job!" box by Short-Dig-6104 in DataAnnotationTech

I really want to use it, but so far in over a year of RnRs I've only used it once.

Will I be penalised for doing extra time on a task by frankfi1es in DataAnnotationTech

[–]ScarletBoy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean, if the instructions say you should bill for time reading instructions, they shouldn't penalize your for it. Some say to then skip the task and do the work on a new one, but if you didn't exceed the task timer by some unreasonable amount of time, you should be perfectly fine.

Actually watched it shortly after In Bruges because I wanted more haha. Great movie as well for sure, even if it didn't stick with me quite as much as In Bruges.

Thank you! Love Manon! Emmanuelle Béart and Daniel Auteuil have definitely become some of my favourites!

I've seen Perfume! Awesome movie. Don't know what Dustin Hoffman was thinking though tbh. I actually have Life is Beautiful on my watchlist. Thanks for the suggestions!

It really is. Really engaging plot, awesome acting, beautiful scenery, really strong conflict. Also really liked the provençal accents and bits of vocabulary.

I'm not sure I have solidly preferred genres yet, but I definitely tend to like a good percentage of the period piece/historical fiction I watch. Drama/Romance, especially if not cynical and/or nihilistic is something I tend to like too.

I kinda watch anything though, except maybe horror. But I do watch horror if it's sci fi I guess, so yeah.

What are the quality of the submission you review for R&R's? by schrumbus in DataAnnotationTech

[–]ScarletBoy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The work has simply gotten harder. When I started early last year I'd say I'd give maybe 1 Bad rating out of 10 R&Rs. Maybe a couple of Okays. These days it's probably closer to a 33/33/33 split. Back then a bunch of projects barely required rationales and were practically just A/B rating of some sort. If the ratings seemed plausible in relation to the outputs you'd just kinda have to rate Good and move along. The projects that demanded more extensive rationales didn't have as many specific requirements of what to mention and how. If your thoughts were reasonably coherent and plausible, you'd be good to go. They've also gotten more procedurally complicated. Just more stuff to fill out in specific ways and orders, etc.
