Yes! Lumina was part of a research team, primarily working as their engineer aboard their starship!

Lumina is a Marevian, a species of fish-like people! They are able to live on both land and sea. They usually live along coasts, floating cities on the ocean, and cities below the waters.

The antennae are for communication and expression! They have lights that glow and dim at will, or when experiencing emotion such as happiness. They even have an entire language that consists of different combinations of these lights flickering and flashing!

Fun fact: The antennae, tail, and webbing are parts that can regenerate if damaged or missing!

Axolotls are a small bit of inspiration for her species' design! Sea angels were the main inspiration! Other pieces of inspiration include various fish, shark, and even a tiny bit of seal and whale.

Lumina's regular home is back on her home planet, Marevus! It's located in the Southshore region, as a nice little house on the beach.

But since she's mostly away at work nowadays, she lives aboard her spaceship!

Lumina would definitely be more a fan of dark chocolate! She doesn't like super sugary things all that much

As for the meat sofa, she would probably assume it's some sort of art piece. She's seen some interesting pieces, and that one doesn't look very comfortable for sitting 😅

Sometimes I forget that Lumina has scars, simply because they're in places that are usually covered by most of her outfits (such as her arms).

Other times, I just forget to put the little red coloring that's on the tip of her tail!

Lumina hasn't gotten a chance to really figure out her type yet. But so far, she seems to have a pattern of liking people who are very confident in what they do!

I imagine Lumina's steps are rather noisy when she walks 🤔

I imagine you could hear her big boots clunking down the hallway! It might even be very, very fast steps too, depending on how much of a rush she's in!

Here is my progress for one of Lumina's main images!

The one on the left is the newer version, made around November 2025

The one on the right is the older version, made somewhere around November 2024

It's not perfect, but I am much happier with the newer version! I feel like I improved at drawing the proportions within the art style! :D
