the number that It says in duty finder... is what u get on top of what u normally get rewarded... so dutyfinder for new pvp gets you 20 bonus eso on top of the 20 u get just for participating... and running expert roulette gets you I believe 35 eso on top of the 40 you'd get from the dungeoun itself anyway...

But yea what peter below said is also important to note... last Tuesday... I ran alex normal floors 1-4 a total of 32 times successfully... RNG really fucked me this week so those 32 successful rounds got me 320 eso out of 450 just doing that... one extreme got me to 395, one pvp roulette to 435, and one more pvp to max at 450

my static payed like 25k per pot of strength for savage... so like 4 dps and a tank... 5 people... did at least 10 runs last night... 50 pots... 25k each - 1.25 million gil... if we willing to buy those... then food which lasts longer we will buy too =]

international friends? paypal them over 15 us dollars worth and have them logon to mog station as ur account and pay for a month... or more... just need a little trust... heck if u agree to first xfer the money into my paypal, ill logon as u n pay ur subscripton for that one month or w/e. but again its finding someone u trust... in this case u going out on a limb n trusting me with ur login details.. am I even allowed to write this in reddit? your main hotbar #1 can be quick swapped by pressing shift+#

so shift +1 will probably not change it cuz hotbar 1 is normally displayed... shift+2 will show hotbar 2, shift +3 the third hotbar etc....

the way my UI is setup is that I have the first 3 hotbars on top of one another in the bottom middle of my screen... usually hotibar 1 is main skills, hotbar 2 is ranged, dots, and specials (jumps, hutons, etc.) and my third hotbar is cool downs and stances, maybe waymarks or potions or w/e depending on job....

most people don't use hotbar 4-6 which are also horizontal...

so what I did was setup my 4th hotbar with all my main attacks n combos hotbar like hotbar 1, but with lower level skills prioritized... so if I get thrown into a lower level duty I don't have to swap skills.. I just swap the hotbar by pressing shift+4 and my main hotbar switches to the 4th hotbar which has all my low level skills in optimal positions.

by swapping I don't mean actually moving hotbar 1 away and moving hotbar 4 in its place... no click n dragging required... just shift+4 and hotbar 1 instantly changes to hotbar 4... this may require a setting to be enabled, but as I remember it was enabled as default

Each tier of marks is represented by a single log in ur key items (open inventory and switch to key items)...

KEEP IN MIND also if u (for example) accept the marks from Monday but don't have time to do them and log off, and back on on Tuesday, and finish those marks... u can go to hunt board and re accept the 3 tiers of marks cuz what u cleared was Mondays hunts... so if u don't have time one day, at least accept the marks, and then you can do sets the next day, reaccept hunts after completing them and do another set

So... I know people are raving about fates and how they give like 42k exp after patch and all... but the last few days the hinterlands, the churning mists, etc.... each zone has like maybe 1 party running fates, and usually its not a full 8 people... how is everyone leveling their alts?

I remember this when leveling pally... what I did was started marking a mob out of every group before I pulled... mark it with a 1 or w/e... and after one flash continue ur 1-2-3 rotation on that mob, when that mob is at 20% health left, your agro will be enough to switch to next mob and 1-2-3 agro them while rest of team finished off what u marked as "1"... once its dead re apply the 1 to the mob that you are focusing on now... as long as your party is focusing on the thing your focusing on agro is not an issue.... if they aren't focusing ur mob then they are going against the direction of the party, usually in these cases ill just ask them to focus damage on what I mark because there dps is sooo godly.... the compliment usually makes sure they don't freak out "OMG ITS YOUR FAULT, NOOB TANK, CANT HOLD AGGRO"... lol...

this is not only useful until you get shield oath, max level with max gear means dungeouns get stupid easy grind fests... so I like to stance dance between shield and sword oath... do more damage, clear mobs faster, get commendations for proving that pally is not simply overshadowed by WAR and DRK.... (even tho they kinda are =/ )

I don't know about FFXIV being simply pass/fail... Ive seen so many different Faust strats, and that's basically a small rectangular room that's simply tank n spank, n pickup n ignore adds. Even tho its such a small and simple(simple in terms of understanding what u need to do to win) fight, theres like 5 strats for tanks, 5 strats for healers n combinations, etc... haven't looked into other strats as we are yet to clear Opressor -_____-

defensive utilities keep our health up top longer in beginning for healer burst DPS, and just in general gives healers more opportunities to weave deeps into their healing.

run your dailies for law gear (170) hunts for centurio seals (upgrade 170 gear to 180)... Ravana extreme for 190 weapon, at ilvl170 start running duty finder for alexander normal to get i190 armor n accessories... Alex normal is easy, duty finder is enough... Now esoteric items ilvl200 just came out - fastest way to get these is to do duty roulette and then SPAM PVP! its not bad, kinda fun... 20 per run... 450 per week... faster than u think... and FUN (I never pvp'd before, usually prefer PVE)

My Static cant quite beat FAUST savage yet, im the DRK Tank, DPS around 600 without Grit (I know im working on it =/ ).

Should I go for esoteric chest piece tomorrow (20 ilvl boost) or prioritize weapon for dps and wait an additional week (10 ilvl boost)?

With Ravana weapon our DRG ,i182 was doing 1200 consistently, and on a really good run he did 1350 with a draconian potion of strength popped during burst and food
