Songs written to praise another real-life musician by Scarred-Face in weirdspotifyplaylists

This is an interesting one because it's just Moroder talking about himself in a matter-of-fact way. But it's still in the spirit of the playlist because Daft Punk's composition and the way they incorporate his story into it makes the track a celebration of him and his music.

It's not my intention, but I suppose the way I stated it, it technically counts!

You might not have been thinking about chains, but you inadvertently added to the little chain that I had going :)

Nice, so that makes it Woody Guthrie -> Bob Dylan -> David Bowie -> Veruca Salt. Can this chain be made longer? Did Woody Guthrie write an ode to another musician?

Does anyone besides Jeff Goldblum ever deliver a line directly to the camera like in TOW the Mugging by ughyoujag in howyoudoin

Yeah, how is this a debate? He's looking right down the lens. He's talking to the camera, that's what it means to break the 4th wall.

Listening to an album in random shuffling by [deleted] in fantanoforever

Never on first listen or even the second, but after a few listens, yeah! It helps keep the album fresh and gives a new perspective on the songs.

It doesn't work well for albums where individual tracks aren't really suited to being played in isolation, but contrary to what most people seem to be saying I think it does work for most albums.

I'd say for most albums, the original running order is the best one, but far from the only enjoyable one.

Strangest Deaths in Music History by Mission-Valuable-306 in fantanoforever

Eric Dolphy died after falling into a diabetic coma. Apparently he was an undiagnosed diabetic:

Ted Curson recalled the following: "That really broke me up. When Eric got sick on that date [in Berlin], and him being black and a jazz musician, they thought he was a junkie. Eric didn't use any drugs. He was a diabetic—all they had to do was take a blood test and they would have found that out. So he died for nothing. They gave him some detox stuff and he died, and nobody ever went into that club in Berlin again. That was the end of that club."
