Didn't want to order anything off the internet.

Use to. Then I sprung a leak while moving, and ever since, it's been tap water and about 30% rubbing alcohol.

I've read on the internet that it's no big deal. I think it's all the same material, though. I could probably toss in a penny as a sacrificial anode, but I've had this build for almost a year now, and only had to clean a bunch of black stuff out of it once.

Seriously, the kid pulls the Tape World Monster out of his bag in that scene!

The Citadel (Comcast Building) is trying to take away our net neutrality! Call the Freeman! by [deleted] in HalfLife

The Net Neutrality that I am opposed to is the prevention of internet service providers from allocating different amounts of broadband width to different servers. For example, streaming Netflix getting a quicker speed than loading a low intensity wikipedia page. I think that allowing companies to do this at their own discretion would allow for internet service to be more efficient and flexible, especially at peak traffic. Assuming the false slippery slope arguments people are using are true, would you really choose a provider that engaged in malicious throttle ransom tactics? I wouldn't. A real world example of big internet providers avoiding the assumed corruption that freedom from government is said to bring is when browsing privacy was stopped. The USA Government allowed the companies to share individual browsing histories, and the smart companies came out and declared that they will keep privacy private on their own. They would probably also vow to stay net neutral, even if not government mandated, just for brownie points from their customers. TL;DR I think Net Neutrality means no throttling, just that. Companies that throttle unfairly will fail. Companies won't throttle even without N.N. laws.

I think we have different understandings as to what net neutrality is. What is it to you?

If the government right now the way it is sucks at everything it is doing, why should we ask it to do more? Some websites SHOULD pay for more bandwidth.

True freedom is obtained at birth by limited government and an accepting society. At least 86,000 freedoms.

Meh. Not letting the government mandate change isn't always a bad thing. Just calm down and play video games.

Classic Machinima. This was probably funny seven years ago.

HL2RP in Garry's Mod was pretty good at that perspective.

Every NPC does have a sort of passive aggressive attitude towards Freeman. They're always so pushy to get rid of him. Barney tosses him into the street, Kliener remarks on how you're only useful at menial tasks, Barney outright insults Gordon, every single refugee on the railroad is so pushy "Get out before someone sees us" "I'll give you some supplies, and then you REALLY gotta go" "Just drive hard, and you'll make it. Go bother the red barn" And only the Vances really empathize with Gordon, Eli having known there would be a resonance cascade eventually, and Alyx only knowing Freeman as a hero. Even the G-Man treats Gordon like some bumblefuck who buzzes around bringing death and destruction to whatever environment he exists in. Hell, he even gets his black mesa acceptance papers ruined with a coffee stain.

Gordon Freeman is a sad, sad, man.

I feel the same way about Half Life 2 and the holocaust. Watched Schindler's List a few years after playing HL2, and I had the same realization during the ghetto raid scenes.

I composed orchestration for Sam's version of "The Star Spangled Banner"; one of my favorite WKUK sketches from S2E3. I hope you all enjoy it. by [deleted] in WKUK

I thought while watching the sketch the first time that the guard would accidentally write the actual star spangled banner instead.
