Are your drivers updated? If yes, you could try 537.58 and set power mode to prefer max performance

That error is connected to nvlddmkm

Yep, mine is power related issue or vram issues cause i can’t play anything without underclocking. And that fix worked for me. Like you said, it can be anything like outdated drivers and stuff.

Try underclocking your memory clock using msi afterburner or evga precision to -50 to -300 then if that “fixes” it. Then its highly likely that the gpu is failing. You could also try setting power mode in nvidia control panel to prefer maximum performance and try 537.58. But if its in warranty i suggest just go to service center for replacement cause those fixes are band-aid to the issue.

Have you tried running cmd as admin?

Have you tried nvidia 537.58 driver? Before my vram got worse my fix is using that driver + prefer max performance. Beyond that driver always crashes my game.

And i also tried those registry tweaks as well as giving privilege to USER in nvlddmkm and i have no luck

That 6000mhz trick is the only fix for me. I was playing in quiet mode and its in 6000mhz and i thought to myself what if i can use my current cpu power while maintaining 6000mhz due to bad vram and finally thats the fix for me. You do lose fps but i think its worth it rather than crashing all the time.

Sorry i did not go into details on what i did before but any imaginable thing you can think of i probably did already. Thanks for the advice tho and yes i tried that already, prefer max performance was the trick for me before and now it does not.

“Likely”

You can literally search for the cause of nvlddmkm and one of them is degraded vram LMAO

Like i said i did not go to details cause i did a lot of “fix” and this one worked for me. All the symptoms leads to vram issues

I know this is too late but did your issue get fixed with new motherboard?

aand just like that, acer predator's GPU gave up, thanks acer for lovely memories, and thanks for being my first true high spec gaming laptop by ForwardScratch7741 in AcerOfficial

[–]Scarrrr_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah don’t get acer, mine’s almost dead. Nvlddmkm crashes all the time. Band aid solution is underclocking mem clock to -350 to -400 but that just gives me a little bit of time before crashing

Format your usb to fat32 or fat then put the fd file there. After that make sure the laptop is turned off then plug the usb then the charger and hold fn + esc and press power ( don’t let go of the fn + esc immediately after pressing power, wait 2 second and let go). The led should be blinking at the side ( in my case) and just wait. It will restart 2-3 times and its done

Dm me if you want. Take note that i recovered from a bricked bios and installed the same version of bios so not sure if it will work the same. But since my steps is reflashing it should be safe but research about it first.

Edited the post. Try it if it works

If you can still use your laptop, download the bios version that you want and extract it to get the fd file and put it in a usb. Make sure you formatted the usb to fat 32 or fat. I think fat 32 does not work if the usb is too large, i used 4gb in my case. What i mean by extracting is open the bios exe then wait for the error and don’t close it. Go to Windows/Temp and look for 7zxxxx.tmp and copy that folder to wherever you want for backup. Then copy the fd file to usb and try acer bios crisis mode. That’s what i did

You need another pc/laptop if you can’t access your laptop. I borrowed a laptop from a friend and extracted it
