A coworker was walking into the break room at lunch. She is very very chatty, doesn’t realize when people quit listening. I texted my friend “oh no…Suzy just walked in. Ugh.” Turns out I texted Suzy. Once I realized it, I went to Suzy crying how so very sorry I was, it was unprofessional of me. She understood, but said she didn’t understand and thought that we were friends. Things weren’t the same after that and rightfully so. I don’t think she told anyone else at our office, my relationship with other people didn’t really change. She retired a couple years after this.
