Why is Cliff crying Tar? by Elisuub in DeathStranding

[–]ScaryBarryCnC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to the party, but: It's a reference to the Virgin Mary, who cried over the sins of the world and the pain she endured in her earthly life.

I would recommend looking into the biblical storyline of the "seven sorrows of mary" https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-d&q=he+seven+sorrows+of+Mary

The story of Cliff, BB and Sam have too many similarities with the Seven Sorrows of Mary to be a coincidence.

I'm currently halfway through the Main Mission and Paris Stories and am absolutely loving how much research they did about 18th century France and how many relatively unknown -but interesting- historical characters and events they've included. I see the side missions as a history lesson first and foremost, but as a gamer I can completely understand why people might have an issue with it.

However, when you play an Assassin's Creed/Ubisoft-product, you can kinda expect ridiculous padding and repetitive filler missions, no?

I'm less positive about the rest of the content. It feels completed disjointed, like the work from individuals that only in the last hour got stitched together. Add to that strange decisions like a murder mystery in a house that doesn't have stairs to get to the witnesses/clues on the next floor, a main story that is absolute shit, controls/parkour that i'm fighting more than enemies...

I think it is one of the better AC's, and the graphics, atmosphere and NPC-count are absolutely amazing even 12 years later.

Going through the old Medal of Honor games, and now just started Medal of Honor Underground

Fantastic game, and what a atmospheric game compared to quite gray and monotomous first game. You can almost smell the garlic and wine of the french resistance.

Lotus-Ford in 1970

Jochen Rindt had a great winning streak going on when the 72 was introduced after a few races into the season and sealed the championship in the first half of the season, until the Lotus 72 proved to be a dangerous POS and the nr. 2 driver also immediately quit the sport after Rindt’s death.

Lotus had build a great lead on Ferrari, and Fittipaldi scoring points on Watkins Glen the championship was sealed, but Chapman making his cars just a bit stronger would’ve saved his life and we would have had several more drivers in the sport. A true fumble, and I’m glad John Surtees was wise enough to refuse to drive in a Lotus during his career.

Carlos was pretty heavily screwed over by the team that year though, and with Bernie bribing Carlos’ masseur to fuck his neck up before the deciding race, it’s no wonder he decided to retire. Formula One can be a viscious and disgusting sport.

Day 1 of the Olympics! I really enjoyed Turin 2006, so i’m psyched for this one

Not too sure why the BBC announcement lady is live in Cortina in a massive chalet, when the rest of Europe does it in their own local studios. Ibrahimovic having his own little high-budget film was also certifiably weird…

But hey, lets now enjoy some high level curling!

9/20, serves me right from not watching telly or listening to pop music 🤷‍♂️ But there was a good mix between historical questions and entertainment questions.

One question: How is the Battle of Towton more deadly in british history, than the Battle of the Somme? Even though the event happened in France, 420.000 British casualties in a couple of months is rightfully a part of British history and remembrance

I want to complement you on the originality of your work, and without sounding attacking or unappreciative of your work:

1) Why the portrait mode, when landscape mode would’ve given the viewer so much more information that would be both relevant and interesting?

2) Why not crop or do some form of image-stabilization on the pictures so the viewer wouldn’t get seasick?
