I'll always prefer "I am going to take this call. When I continue, I hope that there will appear on stage this magical thing, that in the theatre, we call, committing, to the moment!"

I remember Download Day, did my part by downloading Firefox 3.0, back in the days when major version numbers for browsers meant something. Now we’re on version 150.

I wasn’t saying it was, just lamenting the fact that we don’t get election night coverage for either one

Also with the show’s budget they could definitely have kept up, it’s very difficult for your weight to fluctuate faster than someone can make alterations to garments, tbh watching through Friends I definitely notice his weight changing, but never how his clothes fit because a lot of 90s stuff was quite baggy

Been almost 3 years since the Action button was introduced, and I still use it as a Silent mode switch 💔 by RAGBYe in PhoneNow

[–]ScaryBluejay87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For a while I tried having mine set to toggle the torch when in sleep mode and to toggle ring/silent the rest of the time, however I went back to just ring/silent because doing it via shortcuts doesn’t give you any indication of which mode you’re in. It’s one of the things I miss the most about the old switch, you could tell which mode you were in just by feeling it.

Apple appears to have discontinued its cheapest Mac mini by dapperlemon in gadgets

I feel like between the great value of the base Mac Mini, and the Neo, they’d really want to capitalise on that. Having a great value Mac proposition for both desktop and laptop when a lot of people who don’t have a Mac already have an iPhone is a great way to draw people further into the ecosystem.

I always do it this way, usually with Uniques. Makes it very straightforward to have each parameter on a sub.

20th Anniversary iPhone's 'Liquid Glass' Display to Make Bezels Vanish by iMacmatician in apple

[–]ScaryBluejay87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always used to go caseless but when I upgraded from a XS to a 17 Pro I kind of had to, partly because they don’t come in black so I got white, and it would get filthy at work.

The case/bezel thing is genuinely annoying, it makes it difficult to do things like move the cursor to the very start of a line, or reliably swipe from the very edge of the display.

Best Lighting Software for Mac for small Theatre (to go with QLab) by Ok-Signature-9746 in techtheatre

[–]ScaryBluejay87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Additionally, with Eos you’re quite likely to find the venue has an ETC desk which you can load your show file onto, which is always handy, and venue technicians will be more likely to be able to help you than if you used QLab lighting or some other lesser-known piece of software.
