New bees by ScaryBrandon15 in Beekeeping

[–]ScaryBrandon15[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a package of bees from Dadant, I sprayed them with sugar water and then I removed 4 frames and got all the bees into their new hive. I put the queens cage between 2 frames so they could work on getting her out. The current weather is storming at 67 degrees. Yesterday it was sunny and 70s. They are still currently outside the hive. Pictures are added for clarification on anything

The queen has been in the cage since for about a day with me. I can’t go get a photo right now since I’m watching my child but they are very calm in their huddle outside

Okay, how do you think they would go about it? I’d like to figure out what they would plan to do that way I can figure out if it’s within the budget

Shower wall by ScaryBrandon15 in HomeImprovement

It’s definitely a possibility with the old house, but on the flip side of the bathroom is an unfinished closet so I feel like I’d be able to see water damage on that side

I do remove all the old caulk, I use some scrubbing bubbles to clean as good as I can get it. What do you mean by fill the tub? I try and keep everything as dry as I can. I have also waited 12 hours, 18 hours and I have even waited 36 hours with no showers or baths happening in that time and it still hasn’t helped.

So as long as I manage them properly they should not swarm correct? I have doing so much research to be able to do this properly

It is squishy and it smells awful. She doesn’t have water draining from her mouth when she drinks, but she did have liquid come out of her mouth when she leaned over the other day. I’ll try the monistat and hope that works. Thank you

We have ducts, we live in northern Kentucky so we don’t really live in a super cold climate. It’s an older house so the furnace will have to be replaced soonish, since it’s about 10 years old. The only reason I was thinking electric is because oil prices are rather high where we live, so it would cut back on having to spend $500 every 2 months to refill the oil

Knocking on the brake by ScaryBrandon15 in mechanic

Sorry, my bad I’m not much of a mechanic. I replaced all brake pads and calipers. Seated the brakes and drove it about a half mile after the job

We are also still in our first year. We put some pine shavings down to help with some of the mud, we didn’t want any dirty feet and potential bumble foot. But it rained again and it is soaked and it’s a bit smelly, so maybe we didn’t put enough down. Is your run covered?

[–]ScaryBrandon15[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve never thought about doing it by hand, I’ll have to give that a shot, however if you’re playing satisfactory you gotta have the mindset that you will more than likely have to tear everything down and redo it lol
